Was such a great class!
I did the 1.5 class, my first combat shooting class. I was nervous but Matt and Jamie provided such a safe and fun environment that I really enjoyed building the serious skills required in combat shooting. They adjusted each of the students individually because they were all at slightly different levels of competence, which made sure everyone was able to improve over the course of the day. I saw dramatic improvement, even though i understand I need much more time and practice to be good at it.

I've had the pleasure to take a pistol course taught by both Matt and Jamie and to do some one-on-one training with Matt on rifle (for which I started with no skills whatsoever). Both were outstanding experiences that I cannot recommend enough. If you have ever been on the fence about attending a firearms class I have a word of advice, you are in great hands with ASDS. Easily digestible content and most importantly they leave you with the knowledge you need to continue training on your own to continue to hone your skills. Looking forward to attending future training sessions!
My husband and I just took the pistol course this last weekend. Matt our instructor was amazing! We both learned soo much and I personally now feel more confident in my pistol handling abilities. We went over multiple drills, and different possible situations that we may need to react in. I highly reccomened taking Matt's class if you are looking to gain some confidence around pistols, all the way to honing your skills. We will deffinetly be taking more classes in the future! Active Shooter Defense School hosts the best tactical shooting classes I've ever attended. Matt is great about assessing the skill level of all attendees and teaching to the skill level. You'll never feel bored or like you are in over your head. Protecting your family is not as simple as buying a gun. You have to learn how to use it. ASDS will give you the confidence and skill you need to assess and overcome any threat you encounter.
