What a great place tucked away, first ever time axe throwing, we were made to feel welcome as soon as we stepped through the door, The safety talk wasn't just about safety although very important 😀 but was full of knowledge and a wealth of information, during our session all staff were extremely encouraging and helpful. Would definitely recommend going...think I'm hooked.
What an amazing experience! A lovely family run business where the staff take the time to chat with you, they definitely know their stuff! A very good induction is given at the beginning where they teach you how to hold and throw the axe and position yourself correctly. The staff try their best to find an axe to suit you (beaky is a firm fave) they are so patient with you (particularly when you weren’t very good like me 😂) and put you at ease, giving you tips and tricks etc. and Loki the dog is an extra bonus too ♥️ would definitely like to come back!

This was our first time and initially we were both a little apprehensive but those thoughts were soon forgotten after meeting the 4 family members and their dog who run this business. Very friendly people who made us feel at home immediately. Great safety induction and then into the axe throwing which was so much fun. Thoroughly enjoyed the session which was great value for money. Thankyou all for your patience, advice and professionalism.
If you’re looking for something a bit different in Macclesfield, I can’t recommend Viking Axe Throwing enough. From the moment you walk in, you’re made to feel so welcome, it’s like being invited into someone’s home rather than just another activity venue. The family who run it are lovely, and their warmth and passion really shine through. The atmosphere is relaxed and supportive, which is perfect if, like me, you’re a complete beginner! They guide you through everything step by step, cheering you on and making you feel like a natural in no time. It’s honestly so much fun, and their sense of humour and great conversation make the whole experience even better. It’s clear they’ve put their heart and soul into creating something special here. The homely touches and friendly vibe make it stand out from anything else I’ve tried. Whether you’re going with friends, family, or even solo, you’ll leave with a big smile on your face—and maybe even a new skill! This is definitely something I’ll be recommending to everyone.
A superb experience with great instruction and facilities. Safety is paramount leading to a worry free experience. A range of dynamic targets to test your skill level. The axes are designed in such a way you don't have to worry about them bouncing back. I'd highly recommend this for couples, parties or just a bit of down time. It was a surprisingly relaxing experience.
