A brilliant realistic flying experience delivered by instructors who are totally invested in making the experience the best it can be. I bought my husband the flight in the Spitfire simulator for Fathers Day and benefitted from the 50% extra Springtime offer. We were able to book a flight on the first date that we wanted and at a suitable time. The booking request was done by email and I received a prompt confirmation despite it being a Sunday. The location is easily found when using a SatNav but is quite surprising being on a small industrial estate in the middle of a housing estate. We were warmly greeted on arrival and the interior of the building is welcoming and appropriately decorated with interesting prints of aircraft. Complimentary hot drinks were offered and enjoyed. At the time of the flight, the pre-flight briefing was delivered by Keith who was informative and entertaining. We opted to have a video of the flight which was provided on a thumb drive and cost £25. My husband thoroughly enjoyed the experience. He said it was a realistic simulation (he’d flown a real Spitfire last year). Engaging in dogfights made it great fun and he even landed the Spitfire. While he was enjoying the flight, I was able to watch it on a screen in the briefing room. Both the instructors chatted to me and Keith, showed me the 2 Vulcan cockpits which delighted me as it’s my favourite plane and I had been unable to see inside one at Duxford because of the difficult access. There are some lovely gifts to buy and Paul very kindly agreed to obtain a Vulcan t-shirt for me. Promising to ring when it arrives so that I can pay and sort out postage. All together a great inclusive experience. So good, that when we got home I took advantage of the offer and purchased a gift card for an hour Spitfire flight with an additional 30 min for my husband’s Christmas present, as the gift cards are valid for 12 months.
What a fantastic few hours to be had. I had originally booked a Vulcan Bomber and a 737 flight experience for March 2025. Due to an illness in the family I contacted the team at Runway Flight Simulators to adjust the date to May 5th. The team was very fast to respond and move the date for me. The 5th May came pretty quickly and up to Stockport we went from Stoke-On-Trent. The estate that the building is on is in a residential area, and we thought we were lost, but the industrial estate is just off a 'normal' street. We arrived 15 minutes early, and went straight in to be greeted by Tom and the team. Tea, coffee and Hot Chocolate was available, and very clean toilets. The waiting area is very comfortable and you will make friends with other flyers. The setup is very, very professional. The staff were on time, everything runs like clockwork, and off to the Vulcan Bomber for my first flight. The simulator is very realistic, from controls and buttons to the actual graphics. Keith W instructed me on every dial I would need to look at, and what buttons did what before we started. We came up with a flight plan, and was asked if there were any specific routes I wished to complete. I was happy to just have the experience, so he suggested a route that would give me some low flying experience in valleys, and also a couple of stunts. Whilst I wasn't motion sick, and the sim doesn't actually move, the motion of the graphics did catch me off guard, and I did actually feel like I needed to hold on. Very clever, illusion and realistic experience. The 737 experience again was very real indeed, and a lot more technical than the Vulcan. It's an entirely different setup. I was instructed on how to set up the aircraft for take off using the onboard computer. Some may think that this is not a real flight experience relying on a computer, however, I can tell you that there is a lot more to flying than pressing the auto-pilot button. This was a very technical and realistic flying lesson for myself, and whilst I don't think I would want to land the real thing anytime soon, I have a newfound appreciation for the work that goes into flying. I was also asked if I wished to complete any specific route, and opted for the Kai Tak Airport that used to be in Hong Kong. Two perfect landings later (Honest), the experience was over. The staff are amazing from start to finish, make you feel so welcome that you feel like a regular visitor, and other customers were amazing too. If you want a real life experience with experienced pilots and enthusiasts, then book up now. I shall be back soon enough for more fun! Thanks.

This is a place to be for any aspiring pilot or anyone interested in aviation. My daughter’s chosen career is a commercial pilot, she goes on sims frequently, but I think this is now our favourite one. The simulator is extremely realistic, it’s like you are really in a cockpit of a 737. The staff are fully professional and extremely friendly.
From beginning to end we had a great experience. Mike was very knowledgeable and made us all very welcome. In my son's words he said Mike was AWESOME. Experience like this gives a great start to budding pilots. Fully recommend this company and we will definitely be returning. Mike went above and beyond and we all enjoyed our time.
Fantastic business, ran by great people. We visited Runway Flight Simulators on Sat 15th March and where I was booked in for an hour on the Vulcan simulator and my son booked in for an hour on the Spitfire simulator. We were met by a really friendly receptionist who made us feel really welcome and sat us down offering us free tea/coffee/water etc whilst we waited our turn. We then were described how the experience would work and I was then introduced to my Vulcan instructor Tim who was really friendly and a great instructor. The flight simulator was a great experience and I could of stayed flying on it for hours. My experience started with a take off from Warton Aerodrome, passed Blackpool tower, around the lake District before doing a few barrel rolls, inverted flying before carrying out a landing. My son's simulator was in the Spitfire where he was involved in attacking a squadron of bomber aircraft which he loved. Whilst attacking the bombers, fighter aircraft would attack you and you could take part in dog fights. A great experience. He then got to do some landings with various success. We had paid for the photograph upgrade so once my son's experience was over his photograph was taken in the simulator. There was a little technical issue with a printer which the staff were trying really hard to resolve. Whilst they were doing it they asked my son if he wanted to come and have a look in the Boeing 737 simulator that was running. Next thing I knew he was having a quick go on that simulator too which my son loved. That was really unexpected and nice of them to offer. After that my son wanted a photo in the Vulcan simulator so he was allowed to sit in it whilst we did. Then Tim came over and started telling us some more info about the aircraft and my son was then offered a quick take off in that simulator too. All in all a fantastic few hours. All the staff were amazing and we had a great experience there. What a great company. We had a great time and got to experience a lot more than we were expecting. The staff all went above and beyond and I would highly recommend this company to everyone. Thank you so much!!
