Room was beautiful except the plug socket was not near the mirror so you had to be a contortionist to dry your hair! Breakfast wasn’t brilliant- food had been sitting in warmer so bacon was dry and black pudding was hard and trying to toast the bread was impossible and several of us gave up. The hotel itself is really well situated and has a lovely bar.

Came here for a birthday weekend away with my partner and we had a lovely time, from when we arrived, till when we left. All the staff are welcoming and friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them, from reception, to the restaurant to the staff in the spa. The rooms are very comfortable and have everything you need, including robes and slippers, drinks and luxury toiletries, the only reason I didn't give it a 5* is due to the bath in the room being very small. We would definitely stay here again, when visiting the city.

I stayed here for a week during the recent heat wave to take part in a conference. The venue was brilliant. The staff were polite and attentive both within the hotel and the restaurants. The rooms have wonderful air conditioning which meant I could spend the week sleeping in a fridge which is just how I like it. The rooms cleaned every day. And perhaps most importantly, you get a package of biscuits with your teas and coffees in your room. I definitely recommend this to others.

Feels odd offering rooms as "deluxe" and above when they don't contain fridges / mini bar. Room service post 10PM is at a snail's pace. Took just shy of an hour to bring a cheese sandwich. Location is excellent and staff are friendly. Food from the restaurant was excellent. Really nice pizzas, and the breakfast buffet was delicious.

This was an amazing hotel. Not sure if we got upgraded or this was the room we chose but it was massive. The bath was the size of a hot tub, big enough for 2. Balcony overlooking the docks. Great breakfast and the spa and facilities were some of the best I’ve stayed at. Lovely staff. Slightly odd that the keys are “old fashioned” however gave a little rustic charm to a modern hotel
