We had a great time at BATL and went with the VIP package. Alec accompanied us, and he was amazing, very friendly, welcoming, and kept us motivated the whole time. He had such a great vibe. He stayed with us for about an hour and a half, then gave the last 30 minutes to play on our own. This was our first time axe throwing, and we’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for something fun and different to try.
The only downside was one of the female staff member, who came across a bit rude. We ordered fries and checked in after about 15–20 minutes, and she replied in a dismissive tone saying it had only been two minutes and they still needed to cook. Even if it took longer, we didn’t mind, we were just checking, but her response felt unnecessary.
Later, Alec let us know we had 10 minutes left and pointed us to the review QR code. A minute after that, she came in and abruptly told us they were closed and we needed to leave, again in the same rude tone. I’m not sure what we did to upset her, but every interaction with her felt unpleasant.
That said, Alec’s friendliness and overall service more than made up for it, so it’s still a 5-star experience from us.

I went to BATL for my birthday and had such an amazing time! 🎯 My best friend brought me here to try axe throwing for the first time, and it was an absolute blast.
Mary, the staff on duty, was fantastic! She was super friendly, welcoming, and made sure we were all set up and ready to go. She explained everything clearly and made the whole experience even more enjoyable.
I highly recommend BATL for birthday celebrations or just a fun outing with friends to blow off some steam. We had such a great time and can’t wait to go back!

AMAZINNG PLACE!!! So many free games and so much fun. Brought my team here for a staff bonding trip. Elias, our coach was so helpful and so so much fun! And thank you Wes for helping organize. We had a great time!
Pretty good location. Our instructor was pretty good at helping us out. You got a decent amount of time and they had different games available to play. They also allow food and offer nice snacks and drinks. Aim to spend some time after as well and play pool or grab a drink.
I recommended BATL Grounds at the Stockyards to my sister, who lives in Toronto, for an archery experience at Weston Road and St. Clair. We have never been here before, but were excited to try it. The venue is beautiful, huge and very well set up with lots of seating and very bright. Whether you’d like to try archery, knife throwing, axe throwing, or a game of pool this is definitely the place to go. After your experience why not have BATL Bites; chicken, hot dogs, fries, samosas or BATL Bits (dessert). Accompany it with a drink: cocktail, premium spirits, drafts, bullseyes beers, clutch cans, liquor, coolers/ciders, wine and non-alcoholic. My sister and I are always eager to try new, enjoyable activities. This was no departure. Our instructor, O'Neil, was exceptional. He instructed us on the proper technique, including stance, arm positioning, arrow placement, and the pulling motion. He has a great sense of humour, was a lot of fun and very attentive to check how we’re doing. He made our day. It was an absolute BLAST!!! 😁😄😃😍😍❤️❤️❤️❤️🏹🏹🏹🏹🏹🏹 Thank you so much O’Neil.
