How do I book an axe throwing event?

You can book online through their website by selecting your location, date, and time. For weekend bookings, it's recommended to reserve 4-6 weeks in advance, and 1-3 weeks for weekdays.

What is the cancellation policy?

Bad Axe Throwing requires a minimum of 5 days' notice for any modifications or rescheduling of events. If you cancel with at least 5 days' notice, the amount paid will be converted into a credit that can be applied towards a future booking, valid for 60 days from the original event date. Please note that any refunds processed may be subject to an additional processing fee.

Are there any age restrictions for participants?

There isn't a strict age limit, but participants must be strong enough to throw an axe safely. All locations allow kids with adult supervision if they can throw safely, except for Long Beach, which has a minimum age of 21.

Can we bring our own food and drinks?

Yes, outside food is generally permitted at most locations, but not at Alexandria and Minneapolis due to on-site kitchens. They provide mini-fridges for drinks and food. Utensils are not supplied unless food is purchased on-site.

What payment methods are accepted?

They operate as a cashless business, accepting credit cards (AMEX, Visa, Mastercard, Diner's Cards), debit cards, and mobile payments like Apple Pay and Google Pay. Cash is not accepted on-site.

What should I wear for axe throwing?

Closed-toed shoes are mandatory for all throwers. Comfortable clothing is advised, and layers are recommended in winter. High heels are not permitted for safety reasons.

Is axe throwing safe?

Yes, urban axe throwing is considered completely safe. They emphasize that no one has ever been hurt or injured at their facilities, and expert coaches ensure all participants strictly follow safety guidelines.

This was actually fun! We had Nate as a coach and he was fun, engaging, and very attentive. He explained all the safety procedures and taught us so many different ways to throw the ax. My family loved it and can’t wait to go back for our next family night out.

I went with my husband and our two teenagers, and we had such a fantastic time! The service was outstanding from the very beginning. Communication via email after signing up was prompt and helpful, and the staff on site (Devon) was excellent. He truly went above and beyond! Devon shared great tips and tricks to help us improve our throws and was incredibly attentive throughout our session, making sure we had everything we needed. His energy and support made the experience even more enjoyable.

This place was AWESOME. My son and i decided to try something new, and this was perfect. We had some great instructions from our coach, Devan. He not only instructed us with how to hold the axes and knives but also how to properly follow through with each throw. It truly made it fun and enjoyable. We will definitely come by again and this time with a bigger crowd.
