We were looking for something to do with our out of town guest and found Brainy Actz. We booked one of the beginner level escape rooms as we were all a bit new to them but we had a great time! The location was easy to find with plenty of parking. The staff were very friendly, and helpful. Our escape room was based in a mountain lodge and the hunt was on to locate big foot. Some challenges were a little more difficult than others, but thats what makes it fun! I would highly recommend Brainy Actz if you are looking for something fun to do. We will definitely be back.

We enjoyed working together to solve the puzzles, and anytime we needed a hint, every single employee was so helpful and kind. I would absolutely come back again. If you’re looking for something exciting, challenging, and 100% worth every cent, I highly recommend booking it!

This was the first time my family and I decided to participate in a painting room experience while visiting San Diego from Connecticut. I wanted to take home something memorable, especially since our son lives here. Unfortunately, our visit to this location was incredibly disappointing. The place was filthy. There were shards of glass on the floor, both inside the painting room and in the hallway leading to it. The painting room itself was small and disgusting—plastic shoe covers and hairnets were scattered on the floor and even stuck to the ceiling. It was honestly gross and felt unsafe. My husband even had to remove glass from his socks. As an art teacher, I thought this would be a fun and creative activity for us, especially since we could take a canvas home as a keepsake. Sadly, it turned out to be the opposite. Do not waste your money here. To the owners: with two employees sitting at the front desk on their phones, the least you could do is ensure the place is clean and safe for your customers.
We did the splatter paint room. It was fun, there were 4 of us but the room was on the smaller side (we barely fit) we got our paint but they were all similar colors (red, orange, and dark purple). The girl up front was nice and helpful to start but I forgot I left my stuff in the lockers (a quick reminder— “don’t forget your stuff in the locker if u have one” before you leave would be super helpful) the guy who takes the calls needs to annunciate a little more clearly it is really difficult to understand what he says ( we called 2x for different reasons and both my husband and I had trouble understanding him). Over all good experience but I don’t think we would return
We had a great time at this escape room! The staff were super friendly and helpful — they gave us hints when we needed them, but never made things too obvious, which kept the challenge fun and engaging. The room we did was one of the smaller ones. It was straightforward and everything flowed well, which made for a smooth experience. That said, compared to some other escape rooms we’ve tried, this one could’ve had a little more spice or surprises to elevate the excitement a bit more. Still, everything made sense and was thoughtfully designed. What really stood out was the energy of the team — they were excited about upcoming experiences, especially for Halloween, and it got us curious to see what else is in store. I know there are other activities at this location, and while we’ve only done one so far, I’d definitely come back to try the others next time! ✨
