First time visiting and we really enjoyed it. The employees have a quick tutorial and actually have pointers after a few throws. The employee then set up our score pads and the next thing you know, we were throwing bullseyes.
Our appointment was at 11am and the kitchen doesn't open until 2pm. Otherwise we would've gotten food too, but we were done just in time for lunch.

Recess offers a clear cancellation policy for your event bookings. If you need to cancel, you are eligible for a full refund of your deposit provided that the cancellation is made at least two weeks (14 days) in advance of your scheduled event date. For cancellations made within the two-week window leading up to your event, the deposit is non-refundable. However, we understand that plans can change, and in such cases, we may offer the option to reschedule your event for a future date, subject to our availability and discretion. To initiate a cancellation or discuss rescheduling, please contact our team directly. We aim to be flexible while ensuring fairness for all our guests and operational planning.

Took in a group of twelve and was well taken care of during our couple hours of drinks and dinner. Chicken strips and buffalo chicken pizza are solid choices. Highly recommend the prickly pear margarita
We had an absolutely fantastic time at Lumberjaxes Axe Throwing! We brought a friend from out of town who had never thrown an axe before, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure she had a great experience. Phoenix took the time to teach her the proper technique, and after just a few attempts, she nailed a bullseye—talk about a confidence boost! The entire staff was friendly, welcoming, and made the atmosphere fun and engaging. On top of that, the prickly pear margaritas were delicious—a perfect way to celebrate our victories! Whether you're a first-timer or a seasoned pro, this place is a must-visit. We highly recommend it and will definitely be back for another round!
There weren't a lot of people when we went on a weekday right at opening time. So much fun for a date night. Our instructor was so patient and kind teaching us what to do. Would go again with friends.
