This was a fantastic date night/group event. I went on my own one evening, grabbed a drink from their bar and got to spend the next hour throwing axes. It was great! The instructor was patient and helpful, bringing a good mix of competition, simple fun and practice. Both myself and the person sharing my lane were able to make bullseyes by the end. It was fun enough that I am now considering the league. If you are looking for something to spice up date night, have a group you want to entertain or even just need to get out some aggression I would try here!

We held a team building event for our board of directors here, it was a blast. While none of us had thrown axes before, the great team at UA Phoenix made us feel welcome and were sociable, ensuring everyone got involved and figured out how to get that satisfying "chunk" when the axe hits home. They had a seeding and bracket challenge setup, which helped make it feel like we weren't just hurling axes at wood, the competition really made the experience. Would highly recommend this to any group looking to spend time together while doing something different.
The entire staff was very welcoming and friendly as soon as I walked in the door, and thereafter. It was my first time at Urban Axes and I had a blast during my one hour session. The coaches were eager to help me learn and were able to offer various techniques until I found one that fit me best. There was also a small bar inside that offered delicious blueberry ale! I’m looking forward to going again.
Went here for my birthday and had a blast! Jarod was our axe coach and did a great job with our party. Price is a little on the high end but I'd say it was definitely worth it. My wife and I will go again. Really laid back culture.
