Melbourne Gun Club
The Melbourne Gun Club offers an exhilarating clay target shooting experience in the picturesque Yarra Valley. As one of Australasia's best-equipped clubs, they provide diverse shooting disciplines like Trap, Skeet, and Sporting Clays. Ideal for both seasoned shooters and beginners, "Come & Try" sessions are available with expert coaching. It's a fantastic spot for family outings, corporate team building, and social events, offering a unique blend of fun, competition, and an adrenaline rush.
We had our Dynamic Building Group breakup party at the Melbourne Gun Club shooting clay targets, and it was an awesome experience. We had a crew of eight guys, and Jacque and her father were great, super friendly, easy-going great instructors. They even ran a little competition at the end, and the top three shooters won a shot glass to take home, which was a fun touch. The bar was also excellent, with incredibly good prices for drinks. All in all, I’d highly recommend the Melbourne Gun Club for a work event or a fun day out!
Only caters for trap shooters. Good 5 stand course but the members never get a look in because of the corporate events or the come try days. Waste of time paying a membership for a club where you can't shoot what you want because they don't give a stuff about the members. If you're a skeet shooter, forget it. Go to Frankston.

Thanks to Jacqui & the team for hosting our group of 16 workmates. Was a fantastic day for us all. Perfect backdrop in the Yarra Valley for some clay target shooting. Will be back again for another team building exercise!
EDIT: (JUN) Came to the Melbourne Gun Club again recently and it was another fantastic experience. We were a slightly larger group this time and everyone was well taken care of. Jacqueline was very impressive with her titles and experience. And I also thought the little touches of instant coffee from the shed and hair ties were an awesome touch. The 1% things definitely count. Also I’m pretty sure the undercover area was new since the last time I went which is good because I was worried it was going to rain. All of my friends managed to hit targets during the session, even if they were really worried they weren’t going to be any good. I love the Melbourne Gun Club and everything they offer. ————————————— (FEB) What an amazing opportunity it was to get out this morning and learn how to shoot a gun. I can’t thank the entire team for their enthusiasm and encouragement. You were all so fun and knowledgeable and it was great to have a turn with everyone to pick up all the different tips. You made sure we got the most out this experience and I will be telling everyone I know about it. We look forward to coming back in the future.
We had our staff party here on the weekend and everyone had an amazing time! The staff were super friendly, helpful and professional. Obviously being around guns, safety is important but they explained everything without lecturing us. They were patient with the guys who needed a bit of extra guidance and it was so great seeing guys who started off not being able to hit the side of a barn, hitting targets by the end of the day. They were also flexible when we had a couple of late arrivals which delayed our starting time. I would highly recommonend this for a staff event and would happily do it again tomorrow!
