We did the black queen room. It was rated a 4/5 for difficulty but honestly was maybe a 2.5 and that’s coming from someone who’s not exactly a frequent escape room participant. There were a few cool and unique uses of tech but overall the room was a classic find code or key, unlock padlock, move to next activity. Would I come back? Yeah probably as the staff were super nice and accommodating but I was a little miffed with how easy this particular room was.
This is the most fun escape room experiences I've ever done -- From Harry , 7 year old. Cool, prefer to have count up than count down -- from Julien , 9 year old Super fun, very intriguing room design, very family friendly as well as for beginners. The puzzles were engaging for kids as well! Highly recommended

The escape room was very fun! And the staff were very friendly and helpful. Would 100% recommend this place to anyone who wants to go to have fun with friends or family! Me and my friends did the Black queen the puzzles were very interactive and it made sure we used our Brains even though we did need quite a few clues to help us! But overall I would love to do another escape room with friends another time!
This was an incredible experience. Some family and friends and I (5 in total) did the abandoned cabin and I don't think I've ever been more scared. We managed to only just get out but they did give us I bit of extra time and it was very fun. The people who helped us where Seamus and Andrew and they were also wonderful, giving us clues when we where stuck on something for ages. Overall just a wonderfull experience and will definitely try and return.
I visited Adventure Rooms Melbourne back in 2020 with a group of friends (there were about fourteen of us all up) and we had such a great time. It was a fantastic group activity and a really fun way to spend time together solving puzzles and getting immersed in the experience. The venue itself has a really cool, slightly spooky escape room vibe with great theming and decor that helps set the tone as soon as you walk in. It definitely gives off that mysterious, adventure style atmosphere and gets you in the right mindset before entering the rooms. One of the big pluses is how accessible the venue is, it’s super central, right in the Melbourne CBD. It’s within walking distance from Flinders Street Station and Melbourne Central, and just a short tram ride from Southern Cross. While there isn’t much in the way of street parking, there are paid parking structures nearby if you’re driving. That said, public transport is definitely the easiest way to get there. We booked in advance online and found the process easy. When we arrived, the staff were really friendly and helpful. They got us set up quickly, explained everything clearly, and made sure we were ready to go. The escape rooms themselves were full of surprises, without giving too much away, we had some genuinely unexpected moments and plenty of laughs throughout. All up, I’m really glad we went and I’d absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting Melbourne or looking for a fun group activity in the city. The pricing is pretty standard for escape rooms in the CBD, and the central location makes it easy to add to a day or night out. Give it a go, you won’t regret it!
