My son wanted to play Airsoft or Paintball for his 17th birthday. I heard about Tag and called them to learn more. The owner was super helpful and told me about the low impact paintball which is popular with older teens.
The staff was enthusiastic and very nice. My son and his friends had a great time playing on a Sat afternoon. It was quiet so they had their own group. The rule card system encourages good behavior. At the end the boys got to trade in their cards for snacks! How great is that? They do have watch towers for non-players but due to my mobility issues I decided against climbing up in one.
They have picnic tables outside so you can(and should) bring your own snacks and drinks (no booze and no smoking). It gets warm in Hollister and everyone was thirsty after playing.
Also, they have a deal with the local Straw Hat pizza for 20% off. We had a great experience with Tag and hope to be back!

SO MUCH FUN! It was a slow day and hot even though it's mid September so it was just us 3 (my son, husband & I), and another group of 6 teenage boys and 1 dad so they split us into 5 against 5. We had a blast! And being the only old mom who had never played paintball out there I was very proud to not be the first one to be shot and therefore out in any of our trials. We went through each of the different fields of play and they are really cool with different lay outs, and terrain, drastically different things to hide behind on each course. It was impressive! My son already wants to go again and actually I do too! Plus I only had 2 small bruises at the end of the day! YAY!

I rarely write reviews at but this is truly an exception. This was probably the best airsoft/paintball fields I have been to in a long time. Everyone is so friendly. The community that has been fostered here is truly a joy to be around. The owner is such a cool guy when speking with him you can truly tell he has a passion for what he does. This was my first ever visit to this park and the owner treated my group and I like we were regulars which I really appreciate. Not to mention the prices are more than agreeable given the sheer amount of variation in fields, game modes and play time . Definitely will be coming back and I am glad to be a part of this community.
Took my friend's son here (she's not into paintball) and we had a great time. The staff are all very friendly and knowledgeable. The different courses made playing really interesting and challenging and we were part of a fun group that had a mix of adults and kids. I just need to do more cardio so I can enjoy it better!
There is a reason why this place has so many five star reviews! Firstly, the owner is an ABSOLUTE JOY to talk to! He will make you feel welcomed and cares about how you feel in his establishment! He is super open to new ideas or suggestions to make any improvements to his field! He is funny, kind, and overall such an amazing person! He even played with us for a while! Secondly, the website is totally accurate! The fields are incredible! This was my first time playing airsoft at TAG Paintball, and from 10 am to 3 pm, I tried out five different layouts within the field. There was still so much more to explore! The variety of these fields is mind-blowing! Whether you’re into sniping or running and gunning, TAG has something for everyone. Thirdly, something that can make or break an experience is how the refs do their job. Let me tell you, David (the ref during my time at TAG) is one of the most professional, kind, and vigilante referee I have ever seen! He was constantly making sure everything was going smoothly and kindly interacted with the players. He even takes high quality photos thru out the day with his camera and shares it with the players! Parking very easy and convenient. Just park near the tables and you are able to transfer your items from the trunk of your car to the tables with ease! This was honestly something that I wished more outdoor fields did. Honestly, it was so refreshing to come and play at TAG, especially since I mostly play at Gamepod and let me tell you, this is a MILLION times better! No more will you be gunned down from spawn by all the speed softer gremlins. TAG Paintball also includes a onsite pro shop that sells all the things you may want! Airsoft Guns, paintball markers, BB's of various wights, masks, accessories, and more! Having issues with your replica? No worries! They have techs to help you out which caught me by surprise! TAG Paintball is a must-visit destination for anyone looking for an exhilarating and enjoyable airsoft experience. With its welcoming owner, diverse and impressive field layouts, convenient parking, and a comprehensive onsite pro shop, TAG truly stands out from the rest.
