THE EMPLOYEES AT AMBUSH DO NOT CARE FOR WALK ON AND BEGINNERS. I used to ref through 2010-2013 and have played off and on since the early 2000s. Paintball is a sport that constantly needs growing... And first time experience is every thing for many people So this is why I give a two star review. 1. Refs should never give off a location of any player in the field.. Especially when its an 11 year old and his freind and they are out there for their first time. 2. I understand personal gear makes a great difference. Of corse going out for my first time in 11 years and my 11 year old sons first ever time we rented GEAR Well I purchased three upgraded markers and they worked worse than the tipmans we had originally purchased I meen these things would miss fire every three or four shots. When i brought it up to the employees their response was " yeah they aren't too great they are supposed to have electronic hoppers but they kept getting broken so we don't give them out" Basically I was ripped off 30 bucks for a gun marketed as an upgrade when the original rental was a better functioning marker. And 3. This one gets me the most irritated.. like I said im coming back into the sport after 11 years and I know what dirty paint is... I purchased a case of paint that was clearly dirty * (Oily with broken balls) and when I brought it back to the employee who happened to be wearing flip-flops (bad look at a paintball field) his only response was that it was completely normal.. Well thats ok you can think you played me for a fool and I'll even keep my mouth shut but I hope you realize you earned this 2 star review. When I was a ref or an employee at jungle Island paintball in Corona California there was only one employee who showed up in flip flops and worked the rental room... He would pull the same type of crap. Something about the flip flop wearing paintball employees. You got to watch out for them ... They don't care about their costumers experience... It's 100% about getting money out of the costumers for crappy upgraded rentals and dirty paint and 0% about costumer experience... No room for growth of the sport at ambush
Highly recommend Ambush Paintball and Airsoft! I hosted my son's 13th Bday, and they all had a blast. What you can expect: drive up to the entrance, follow signs to Paintball and airsoft - don't go toward event center. Check in, and it's helpful to have your waiver signed, but if not, they have printed ones and can be filled on the spot. If you book a party they will reserve 3 tables for you and parking spaces (3, but you can request more). Once your party arrives, they will be issued a facemask and gun. You can rent a vest and you have to buy your own BBs ($20 per bag). We were there from 10am-3pm and used about 2.5 bags. Once you check-in you will be asked if you want to pay up front or keep tab. I kept the tab open just to avoid charging my card. They conveniently have dominoes pizza delivery if you wish to order pizza ($15 for a large pizza) or you can grill (there are rules) or bring your own food. Play time: for a party you get issued a referee that is with you the whole time. We got Gavin and he was very welcoming, helpful and flexible. We would go back just because of our positive experience with Gavin. He took us through the 6 fields and broke it down to about 20-30 min game time and then gave a 20 min resting period. (or more depending on your party's needs). Venue: The location is accessible and if you use Google maps it will give you the exact location as a random place. I am posting a picture of the actual entrance for reference. The place has 3 rows of covered benches for your party. I was impressed at the Ambush staff being quick to clean tables and trash left behind - mostly empty equipment boxes and bags. The only bathrooms are the portable bathrooms. Overall, highly recommend. 😊

My first time here and my son had a blast at his friend's birthday party. The staff was super kind and very attentive to the group and explained the safety rules very well. We will definitely come back, my son is already asking to have his birthday party here too!
It’s a nice local field, a sizable community plays here and everyone’s friendly. The regular walk on referee Johnny is the man, extremely attentive to the game and fair with team balancing, he’s one of the best referees I’ve experienced in the sport for rec ball, and honestly makes the field a great experience for walk ons.
Kids had a blast playing all day! The staff is excellent and very helpful. We will be back very soon!
