I took the beginner Combat Shotgun course with a friend and we had a private lesson with Bernard. I came in having never shot a firearm before, and Bernard was great. His tone is definitely on the no nonsense side, but in a good way. He’s direct, he catches mistakes quickly, and he pinpoints what you need to do to do it right. Safety felt of the highest order, which I really appreciated. “You don’t know what you don’t know” is real. Bernard drove home the fundamentals, safety, and the mechanics that keep you in the fight even when things go wrong. And the progression was what I was hoping for. By the end of the day we were moving, shooting, and engaging multiple targets across different scenarios. Training as a pair was ideal. No one slowed the pace down, and we got the exact instruction we hoped for. Highly recommend American Defense Enterprises and especially Bernard.

Just finished a three ( 3 ) hour Combat Handgun I w/ Shoothouse Ops Course (Beginner/Refresher level). I was able to work personally with the Operations Manager Paula, who is what we would call in the US Army a true “subject matter expert” (SME). The drive up to the canyon itself was worth the investment with the beautiful sites of the mountains. We spent a lot of time on multiple count draws, where we presented our weapon to the ready and then we concluded with a shoot house walk-through. I’m super excited about this self-defense journey that we are starting together. Highly recommend the company.

Highly recommend American Defense Enterprises! Bill and his team provided a well-thought-out beginner firearm training course. I had the pleasure of training with Paula, Katie, and Bradley. From the moment I called to get more details and spoke to Paula - who was incredibly helpful and sympathetic regarding my past traumas with firearms - I knew I had contacted the right place. Paula listened thoughtfully and provided a great deal of information, which made me feel extremely comfortable setting up my training with them. I coordinated a private group lesson, which was ideal since we were all beginners. On the day of the training, a couple of weeks ago, the entire experience was cathartic, informative, and fun (especially the shoothouse). Paula and Katie were very patient when teaching us the basics, and when my emotions got the best of me, they allowed space for a minor teary moment without judgment and with compassion. When it came time to move on to the shoothouse, both Bradley and Katie were incredibly helpful and stern, yet very patient and positive with each of us. They focused on the seriousness of possessing a firearm and the potential of one day having to use it, while also understanding that we were beginners. Meanwhile, Paula was taking photos. The entire experience was very enjoyable. I plan to go back!
Training with American Defense Enterprise is second to none. Their training and instructors make it easy and comfortable for everyone to learn firearms at all levels. Sayaka, Bradley and Paula were the main instructors I had the pleasure of learning from and they are excellent. I will be coming back for more training and recommend others if they are looking for training, this is a great team to learn from.
Had an awesome day at the range! I highly recommend this company. Paula is a great instructor, has a lot experience in this field. I've learned so much by taking one of their courses. I will definitely in the near future take more classes. Thank you ADE.
