Clays, The City
Clays offers an exhilarating virtual clay target shooting experience, reinventing a traditional sport in stylish bar venues across London and Birmingham. Enjoy competitive games designed for all skill levels, alongside delicious gourmet food and expertly crafted cocktails. It's an ideal spot for social gatherings, celebrations, or corporate events, blending fun, competition, and a vibrant atmosphere for a truly unique outing.
The shooting games themselves aren’t particularly well thought through. They invariably involve people waiting around a long time for their go and then before you know it you’re done in 30 seconds and then waiting around again. The service was excellent and the Xmas food pretty good but we had to leave after a while as the volume of the music was too loud to have a conversation without shouting.
This is not the first Clays I have been to, but this was a particularly busy afternoon for the branch. The staff were good but sometimes a little slow to bring drinks and ask for orders - I have some sympathy here but given how expensive the booking is I would expect a more consistent approach. Given how popular the place is I can only imagine this is a reasonably common issue. The games are good fun, the food is pretty good too, truffle parmesan fries recommended highly. The cocktails in the bottomless 90 mins are so-so, mostly quite sweet and not the strongest, only 25ml measure. For what this place is, it's good fun but not a cheap time.
Bookings at Clays are generally non-refundable and non-transferable. If you fail to arrive for your scheduled booking, you will not receive a refund. For terrace table bookings, in the event of bad weather, refunds are not provided, but you may be offered the option to reschedule your booking to a new date, subject to availability. Any changes to guest numbers or other booking details require contacting the team, and large changes may not be accommodated.

Celebrated a birthday and was my first time visiting Clays. Highly recommended. Service from the everyone was 10/10. Shout out to Alexandra who made the birthday girl feel truly special.
Excellent experience! Cannot thank our host enough! We had such a lovely time, he was so attentive and helpful, made sure we had everything we needed! They were brilliant with our dietary restrictions, gluten free and vegan, food was tasty! Drinks were delicious, we didn’t feel rushed, great venue, wonderful staff. Will definitely be visiting again.
We recently visited Clays for an after-work clay pigeon shooting experience as a group of six, and it could not have been more enjoyable. From start to finish, the atmosphere was brilliant, it lively, engaging, and perfect for a team-building evening. The food was not only delicious but also thoughtfully catered to a variety of dietary requirements, which was greatly appreciated by all. The combination of excellent service, tasty dishes, and the interactive experience made for a truly memorable outing. We are already looking forward to returning in the coming weeks truly it was a terrific time all round. PS the mocktails were fantastic !
