My 16 year old son and his friend had an amazing time shooting at JJs. It was their first time doing this, but they all loved it. The Coach was brilliant, he was really encouraging and tried his utmost to teach them how to aim and hit the target. My son now want to take this up as a hobby as he had such an enjoyable experience. Thank You.
Fantastic spot for shooting, we had a wonderful coach and guide who was brilliant at teaching the basics and very patient.

Another great shoot today. The weather first thing wasn't nice but improved. Great that they are open during week and of a weekend.
We got a voucher from our son to check out JJ's Clay Shooting in Dartford. My husband and I were so excited to attend as it was both our first time shooting clay. I shot at a range in the US before but never clay pigeons. Make sure when you follow the directions, you follow it carefully and watch out for the small sign near the road. Once you turn in, the drive to the venue is so majestic through the woods (see vids). You drive about 5-7 mins before making it to the destination where there is a trailer to the left and another to the right for you to register. They suggest getting there at least 15 mins before your scheduled appointment time. They give you complimentary tickets to take to the trailer (Debbies Dinners) and receive a complimentary drink (coffee, tea, hot chocolate, soda + a piece of cake or cookie). That's pretty cool while you wait. I had the hot chocolate. We stood (because there are no chairs or benches) waiting for about 20 mins past our time...a bit disappointing. We were told to wait and someone will come and get us. No one did. We were standing near a group of people when we realized they had gone. My husband went to ask what was going on only to be told that our group departed already and to follow the trail. When we arrived there was about 10 people sitting listening to the instructor. We apologised and my husband mentioned that we were never called. The instructor (Roy) said rather rudely "Well I shouted". That wasn't necessary. A simple acknowledgement and maybe an apology that we were left behind would have suffice. He gave us the orange ear muffs and we sat and listened. I thought the instructor would physically give a demonstration after giving instructions but he didn't. He spoke about where to shoot the clay and what not to do. That's about it. I decided to go first. There were no mentions of eyewear for safety or gun safety talks. Everyone took a turn shooting. The ladies (me and another woman) went 1st. They use smaller shotguns for women than men. When it came down to going in the box, he was a bit rough in placing the end of the shotgun on the area between my shoulder and collar bone. I'm still sore from the firm pressure and placement. When I missed, he would just say "you're too low" as he switched to the next set of cartridges. He was too rough around the edges for me. My husband felt it too and afterwards speaking to a more experienced clay shooting couple, they also mentioned the coldness, lack of safety talks, and desire to walk out. So it wasn't just me that felt weird and uncomfortable. I understand every instructor has their own style, but that definitely did not make the lesson/experience enjoyable and for that we will not be returning to that location. We were told that there are other clay shooting areas in Dover and Ashford so we'll be checking those venues instead. I highly recommend trying Clay Shooting at least once in your life for the experience.
What a great day we had! We were a small party of 5 and none of us have shot as much as a tin can! But under the guidance of Roy we we're hitting the clays to our surprise!😄 Definitely recommend JJs ! Thank you guys.
