It's a fantastic spot for both beginners and seasoned shooters, offering a state-of-the-art experience. We booked the Triple A (air rifles, archery & axe throwing) experience as an anniversary celebration. It was such a fantastic day! Our instructor JP was patient, informative and helpful; he tailored the experience to each of us separately, stretching us when we got the hang of a technique, and troubleshooting when we had a bit more difficulty. He also gave us historical context and shared his love of the sports, which was really infectious and added to to the experience. The structure of each session (basics, individual practice, friendly competition) kept us engaged, and made us feel like we were making real progress. Overall, an absolutely delightful way to spend an afternoon. We highly recommend it, and each of us wants to further explore one of the activities (my partner is interested in pursuing archery, I want to do more axe-throwing!)
Came here as a part of the trek we did with a large group. Only place that could accommodate this many of us. Large place, with various activities, from air rifle, axe throwing, ATV, clay pigeon shooting. The staff were great, explained everything well, but had fun with us. We did axe throwing, air rifle and cross bow. All 3 were great fun! It gets very competitive. Would definitely recommend as a group, and to mix up the activities. There is coffee and tea and some got food available to our hase, bathrooms and parking.

Went here to celebrate my 60th. Didn’t fancy a booze up but something different. Being ex forces the clay pigeon shooting and quads was right up our street. Loved every second. Great instruction and good old fun.
First time shooting here, made to feel very welcome and clays priced very reasonably. I only shot sportrap but thoroughly enjoyed it with a good range of birds from easy to challenging. Big clubhouse and ample parking. Overall a great clay ground just outside of York.
9 of us ladies attended the axe throwing and archery for a hen do. All of us had an amazing time, and really enjoyed the experience. Instructors Ben, Joe & Ian made the activities even more enjoyable with their welcoming personalities, and big smiles! I felt that they enjoyed their jobs, and it really made a difference. All 9 of us ladies said how we would love to come again (and we are a very diverse group!)
