I attended an organised charity shoot back in May without really knowing what to expect — and I was absolutely blown away. The course is fantastic, offering something for everyone. There are three different bench shooting huts and an impressive field course with over 30 pegs to shoot from. Targets include everything from distance shots and spinners to pull-to-reset, shoot-to-reset, and standalone options, keeping things varied and exciting. I enjoyed it so much that I’ve since become a member. Louise, Adam, and their team do an excellent job, running different events every month, so there’s always something happening. It’s a real hidden gem!

There is something for everybody. The 50yd range and extensive course are my favourite. A friendly bunch and always someone on hand to help out beginners - very welcoming. Experienced shooters and hunters find the facility ideal for honing skills and trying out their latest kit. The bacon sarnies are the best in W Yorks!

Can't recommend Hey Lane rifle range highly enough, a fantastic selection of targets to test your skills over 3 benches AND a 35 point HFT course with 3 targets at each. Adam and Louise are great hosts, knowledgeable and friendly giving both members and guests a top shooting experience. Members ( including myself here ) are always happy to give advice if needed. Regular events and competitions help to make it feel more like a social club than other ranges I've visited.

What a brilliant site! It's set off from civilisation; down a beautiful, windy single lane farm track in the woods. When you get there, there is some hardened grass to park on (not sure what it'll be like in heavy rain, but the ground felt very hard under foot and my car was fine driving on it). Louise and Adam are fantastic owners who let me try out several of their different types of guns (Springer, Gas Ram and PCP) and took time to explain to me the advantages and disadvantages of them - they also let me shoot one of their own, more expensive guns. Even one of their members came over and let me shoot his £3000 gun! This alone, is an excellent reason to go to the site; members can make or break a club, and I felt welcomed. I shot at both the 35y range and the 50y range (which has a stream running through it!). The hire rifles were great too - very accurate - I was hitting tiny 1" targets at 50y at the back of the range! The ranges are outdoors, but they do have covered shooting benches, so you won't get rained on. Most areas are protected from the wind due to trees, but there are some open areas especially if you do HFT/FT course, which has 35 stands, with 3 targets on each stand. I will definitely come back again - even my wife wants to try it (I'll not tell her how much I am going to spend on a rifle haha - Julia, if you're reading this, it won't be much. Honest.) PS - don't worry about the people in the photo - we all were unloaded, uncocked and away from our rifles so they could put up some paper targets. SAFETY FIRST

Great session with Louise today. We did the 1 Hour Air Rifle Hire. They had a summer holidays deal on which was also good for our first time there. Louise took us through the safety of the rifle and stayed with us for the first 10mins of shooting. She then left us to our own devices but wasn't far away if required and checked back in regularly. Loved the competitive target shooting at the end. Great scenery. Good quality equipment. Excellent service. We will be back.
