What is the minimum age requirement to participate?

Participants must be a minimum of 12 years old. There is no gender limitation, and all experience levels are welcome.

Do I need a firearms license to take part in the activities?

No firearms license is required. For some states, you might need to fill out a temporary police firearms license form and show proof of ID before the activity.

What should I wear for the clay target shooting experience?

Please wear comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing and closed-toe shoes. Singlets, camouflage clothing, and thongs are strictly forbidden. Hats and sunglasses are recommended, and bring corrective lenses if you use them for distance.

Can I consume alcohol or drugs before or during the shooting activity?

No, a strict zero blood alcohol and drug policy is enforced. Consumption of alcohol or drugs is not permitted before or during the activity. Bar facilities may be available after the shooting.

What happens if there's bad weather on the day of my booking?

Go Shooting operates outdoors and proceeds in all weather conditions. In cases of pouring rain or lightning, activities will pause until the weather passes. Otherwise, wear appropriate clothing, and in extreme unsafe conditions, an alternative date may be offered.

Is instruction provided for beginners?

Yes, all sessions begin with a comprehensive firearm safety briefing and practical demonstration. Expert instructors, including Olympic, Commonwealth, and National elite shooters, provide top-class tuition for all ability levels.

Today I went clay target shooting with this co. My wife's co. The Auslan place, caters for the deaf and organised the event with a group of deaf people. I was so impressed with the patience and inclusivity of the instructors Debbie and Mike who, through interpreters, relayed very detailed but clear instructions. All who attended enjoyed a wonderful day, several stating their interest in joining a clay target shooting club. I would recommend this company to anyone interested in trying shooting to see if they enjoy it.

Our team did a go shooting session with Debbie at Brisbane Gun Club for our office Christmas party. Debbie was very knowledgeable and patient with everyone. Most of us had barely touched a gun before but that didn't matter at all, everyone was able to hit a good number of clays. Great day out and the whole team was talking about how much fun it was afterwards.

Booking & Cancellation

Cancellations made 1-7 days prior to the experience will incur a 100% charge of the booking fee. For cancellations made 7-14 days in advance, 50% of the booking fee will be charged, or the deposit for private group bookings will be forfeited. Private groups can receive a full deposit refund if they cancel 30 days or more in advance. Rescheduling is permitted for groups more than 10 days out. Gift vouchers are non-refundable but have unlimited validity. Events booked through management companies are subject to their specific cancellation policies. Go Shooting operates in all weather conditions, and weather-related cancellations are only accepted in extreme, unsafe circumstances, with an alternative date offered. Full refunds are available for COVID-related cancellations or if participants are unwell on the day.

Thanks to Debbie and Mike for a fantastic day at Brisbane Gun Club. All the participants received professional and friendly coaching, mixed with a lot of laughs and fun. Excellent and to the point safety briefing. I would recommend any person or group to have a go. The equipment is excellent. We had mixture of first time shooters and people that had some experience, all received the support needed with care and patience. Really appreciated.

I had a go at this at the Caboolture Clay Range this weekend and really enjoyed it. The group was small, the atmosphere was relaxed and fun. I was a terrible shot and the trainers worked with me after the session and identified I had cross-dominance and had a few more shots which were bang on target once i adjusted what i was doing. Worth giving a go.

Definitely one to cross off the bucket list! We had an amazing time, so informative but not boring I assure you. Learnt some great skills and the trainers are so supportive and kind and they keep everything light. Dont stress if you have no experience, neither did I, you are in safe hands and anyone can do this! I can not reccomend this experience enough, buy it for yourself, your partner, your aunts and uncles, even the grandparents. GO SHOOTING is a safe and exciting environment to try something new. Thanks again for a great day.
