Hubby and I went out for date day today. Great range, great people to guide us and share their knowledge. We didn't get his name unfortunately, but the lovely older gentleman who assisted us was fantastic! It was our first time out there with our rifles, and he got them sighted in for us, and patiently stuck around until we were comfortable and good to go. Highly recommended - we'll definitely be back!
I went there for the first time over the weekend for clay shooting I was served at the counter by Ann, a really kind and beautiful lady. Then I was supervised by Ralph when I was shooting. He took his time and explained every step on how to shoot correctly. Definitely going back there with friends and family

My trip to Silverdale range on 02/08/2025 was my first time at any range after only shooting on private properties with other experienced shooters. From my phone enquiry through to the moment I left, the staff at Silverdale range were nothing but kind, welcoming, informative and helpful in every possible way. I told everyone I interacted with that I'd never been to any official range before and to please explain everything as I didn't want to make any mistakes. They essentially took me under their wing and helped me every single step of the way and didn't make me feel stupid. I didn't catch anybody's names but for starters, the gentleman I dealt with in the office explained everything clearly, was very personable, professional and polite. I guess I looked a little lost as I began setting up my rifle, as a range officer stopped by and asked if there was anything I needed. After explaining to him that I was there to sight in my brand new .308 and had only ever seen somebody sight in a rifle and never done it myself, he essentially dropped everything to help me. He quickly and simply walked me through distances, trajectories, grouping, standard MOA's, barrel temperature and many things in between in a matter of a couple of minutes in an easy and informative manner. He then stayed with me almost the entire time I was there, helping me adjust my scope, asking me where my shots landed after every adjustment and moving me to longer distances and smaller targets as I got closer to having it zeroed, until I was able to land 2 shots into the 20c sized logo at 100 yards. He then, almost proudly said "you'll hit anything you point that rifle at mate". Then when leaving, I met the same guy from the office on the way out and he stopped me to ask how everything went, how Id liked it there and seemed genuinely happy that I'd had a good time. I left with a smile, a pep in my step and already planning my next visit before I even got my car. To all the staff I met at Silverdale range, thankyou for the positive experience and I'll see you again very soon.
I had the pleasure of visiting Silverdale rifle range yesterday, taking part in the ‘know your firearms course’ I was under the guidance of a guy named John, who has over 40+ years experience with all things firearms related. A true gentleman in every sense, a wealth of Knowledge, and very accommodating. All staff went above and beyond to make me feel very welcome and apart of their community. I highly recommend this venue.
Fantastic range where the staff are both friendly and knowledgeable. The grounds are very well kept and on a sunny day, it’s beautiful to be in the shaded range area. Whilst not strictly range related, the road in looks like it could use some dirt and resurfacing. That’s more of a warning for people planning a visit to take it easy on the drive in and be careful of potholes. This isn’t the venues fault though, it just happens. Otherwise no complaints here
