Ideal for individuals, groups, and juniors seeking a unique and engaging recreational experience.
Great range facility, professional staff members who take safety seriously and were mostly helpful. Except for one hot headed, bossy boots range officer who was breathing down my neck. From the moment I drove in, he criticised my angled parking, when the was a 4x4 next to me doing the same exact thing. Happily straighten my car to show courtesy and respect. Apparently that wasn't enough to earn back his respect. Proceeded to yap about my burnt bulb car light, and not to leave rubbish behind. Called me out for leaving my bagged rifle and locked ammo box a few metres away with my unlicensed mates. Which is fair enough obviously, upon setting rifle up, I've forgotten to keep bolt open. RO was quick to notice, and took the opportunity to berate me for an answer. Yapped that I had bolt locked, and shooter wasn't looking through the red dot. Unlocked the bolt and just chucked the round at us carelessly like we're dogs. Proceeded to lecture us like we're delinquents. When he questions you, he just berates you for an answer, all you can do is stay professional unlike him. His demeanour, mannerism and altitude was terrible. That RO turnt my range trip with mates into a first day at Kapooka, kept my cool the whole time, the next time he crosses paths with wrong people. He's going to be on life support. For your comfort reading this, the muzzle was pointing down range the whole time. One of the worst RO's, I've ever come across just like the memes on the internet. Take this review as feedback, this was too good to ignore.

Visited the range today. All the staff extremely approachable, welcoming, professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. Will be returning. Highly recommend.
Didn’t receive email for attendance and they can’t do nothing what a bad experience never again
One of the best ranges I have been to. Range officers are super friendly and helpful. The only downside is that if you are shooting at the 300m range, you can't get your targets except at the end of the day. A good idea is to plan to go just before the day ends, especially if you don't have a monocular to see where your shots landed. The monoculars available in the range are only good for 100m.
