I went to Lateif Dickersons Fire Academy.It was awesome. He is professional, he knows his stuff.He'll help you through getting your carry permit. I've been to stores that make you feel uncomfortable. Lateif we'll educate you on the proper way to hold your firearm to have it on your person. He will let you know the rules of why and how to carry what to be careful of the circumstances. You may get involved in and what to say and what not to say. He is a champion marksman and he does not mind sharing his knowledge with you. If you are serious about getting a carry permit, he will be just as serious getting it for you. After the 3 day class, he will send you to a qualification facility. Which is nearby to allow you to qualify on the range?Please do not come in there just to waste his time. Where I live getting to his school. I have to drive an hour and 40 minutes with traffic and it is well worth it. His associates at the qualification range are just as professional.They will demonstrate interest in caring about what you are doing.This whole procedure to them is a very serious situation.Most people don't realize how serious getting a carry permit is. Once you get this done, you will receive a certificate where you can put up on your wall in your house or apartment. Lateif and his team we'll show you the little loopholes that are in the procedure acquiring a carry permit. I am very happy with the training. A lot of the things I thought I knew about carrying a firearm were wrong. Please check into this so that you do not run into a problem with law. Enforcement. Booking & Cancellation
For a full refund, cancellations or rescheduling must be made at least 48 hours before your scheduled training. If you cancel between 24 and 48 hours prior, a 50% fee will be incurred. No refunds are provided for private sessions canceled within 24 hours of the scheduled time. Arriving more than 20 minutes late may lead to rescheduling with an additional $82 fee. Failure to contact within 24 hours of a confirmed range session for cancellation or rescheduling will also result in an $82 fee. Refunds initiated more than 7 days before training are subject to a $35 processing fee, plus WP form and credit card processing fees.

One of the best decisions I've made was to take a basic firearm training and safety course. An experience I will never forget with one of the best teachers.
Lateif is the most knowledgeable, Patient, accommodating and reliable instructor I have ever had the absolute pleasure of being a student to. I haven’t shot a firearm in over 10 years and I needed someone to not only refresh my memory on basic firearm safety and handling but also to receive training for my PTC Qualification. He broke everything down to me in a way that was not only very informative but also easy to grasp and made it really enjoyable and fun to listen too, lots of hands on demonstrating between disassembling a firearm for cleaning, holster drawing, sighting up with both Irons and red dots and understanding NJ’s incredibly strict laws and how demonstrate lawful use of force and understanding all the legal aspects to utilize should you ever have to draw your firearm in self defense. I had my PTC qualification test just last week and passed because of this wonderful man, mind you I haven’t shot in over 10 years and passed on my first go thanks to the training i received from Lateif. So if you want to learn the RIGHT way and not only get proper training but expert knowledge with NJ’s strict laws and have an expert witness Lateif and his team are the best! I recently attended and completed my NJ Firearms Carrying Permit training at NJ Firearms Academy with Master Instructor Lateif Dickerson. Although I’ve taken several similar courses in the past, Mr. Dickerson is truly in a class of his own. The course was extremely comprehensive and informative—every component, from the detailed case studies to the hands-on training, was exceptional. The support was responsive and professional, and the scheduling was very convenient. If you’re considering getting your NJ Firearms Carry Permit, this is hands down the best place to achieve that goal. Lateif rocks!
