What a great day, Adam the instructor drilled safety into everyone at the start which being a wildfowler many many years ago, I appreciated, his instruction throughout was excellent. There were plenty of variable target setups which kept it interesting. We all had a fun time with plenty of laughs inbetween. I absolutely loved it and couldn't recommend it enough.
Love the automated self serve traps. DTL, skeet and 5 stand all good condition and user friendly.
The club is really for the committee not for the members contrary to what is stated on its web pages unfortunately. A) Very helpful for new potential members or rejoining members until after you join or rejoin. B) Web page advises to raise any issues to the committee but in reality you can only do this once, after that the Vice President (Travis) does not respond to your emails or tells you to refer to the manager (that's not providing any member service, it’s actually providing no interest and no service). C) You receive contradicting advice from the manager (Ms. M. P) in terms of what information is provided over the phone, what is provided by email response and what is said 'face to face'. Don't bother complaining as no one will listen as the manager is related to the president (Mr. B. P) so no impartiality can be guaranteed. D) Freedom of speech is not permitted because if you put a complaint or raise difficult questions on Facebook or by email or by letter (no swearing but brutally honest), it is not published and or ignored. Is this for the benefit of the club or for the benefit of the committee? Look at other clubs too before you decide. 12/7/21 Update Unfortunately, your response 7 months ago is like the majority of clubs, organisations, companies and humans which receive negative feedback. Denial is the reaction instead of accepting and trying to fix the honest issues caused by the club / committee (not due to Covid) resulting in the negative feedback. You believe the club / committee is without fault and could not have caused these problems, so any negative feedback is deemed false. The committee has done some things well but in the same 'token' have done some things badly / incorrectly and need to accept accountability with the attitude for improvement. Informed people know the truth and will make their own educated decisions, regardless of our difference of opinions. Were you not the same committee that refutes the criticisms but has removed Mondays from being open (despite our pleas with little response) which has negatively impacted all your members with RDOs to miss out but my claims are refuted, how? Isn't that decision to provide less, under the pretence that committee decisions are for the benefit of its members’, when it actually benefits the committee to have less responsibility / administration while members miss out, so how is this beneficial to its members? Hopefully the recent change in the committee will actually result in more benefit for its members with a change in attitude, culture and actions for the members by the committee and not the other way around (review changed from 1 star to 2 stars in anticipation).
