Are there any age restrictions or other requirements to participate?

Participants must be at least 13 years old, not pregnant, and not under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Those aged 13-17 need a parent or guardian to complete a waiver.

How many people can participate in a smash room session together?

Up to 10 people can be in a smash room simultaneously, making it a great group activity. We're unique in Australia for allowing more than two people in a room at once.

Do I need to book in advance, or can I just walk in?

While walk-ins are accepted, booking online in advance is highly recommended to guarantee your spot, as sessions often sell out.

Am I allowed to bring my own items to smash?

Yes, you can bring your own items, but you must email hello@thesmashroom.com.au for approval at least two days before your booking. Prohibited items include food, liquids, bulky items, and lithium batteries (remove from electronics). Acceptable items include bottles, jars, mirrors, plates, mugs, monitors, TVs, keyboards, and computers (battery removed).

What is the pricing for a session, and what's included?

Sessions cost $65 per person and include a wide selection of smashable items, sanitized protective gear (overalls, face shield, earplugs, gloves), and access to UV table tennis and arcade games. Discounts are available for group bookings of 11 or more.

What is your policy for rescheduling or cancelling a booking?

You can reschedule your appointment without a late fee anytime before your booking. For cancellations, you must contact us via email or phone at least 48 hours in advance to avoid a $20 service fee. No-shows are non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled. Refunds typically process within 5-10 business days.

What safety gear is provided, and is it mandatory to wear?

We provide all necessary safety equipment, including overalls, earplugs, a face visor, steel-cap boots, and gloves. Wearing all provided safety gear is mandatory for participation in the Smash Room.

Is parking available at the venue?

Yes, there is ample parking directly outside the venue, as well as a common car park in the same area.

The Smash Room offers flexibility for your plans. You can reschedule your appointment at no charge by informing them anytime before your scheduled booking. Possibly the best activity for teenage girls that I’ve found so far, the grins appeared from the moment they put on their safety gear, eyes lit up at the instruction to ‘choose your weapon’ and the ability to connect their music to the speakers in their room topped it off. Then the actual activity took place and they emerged on top of the world. What a great experience in a safe and fun environment. Very highly recommend AAA++++

Had the best experience at the smash room! The whole team were so so lovely and made it a great experience. Special shout out to Toni, Phoebe and Chloe they were genuinely the sweetest people!! There was one staff member that was quite rude unfortunately I didn’t catch his name but he had a slight American accent and wasn’t very accommodating. Other than that great experience

Loads of fun! Staff seemed a little disorganised when we arrived. We completed the waivers and waited around for around 5 or so minutes before being taken to the room where we watched the induction video. There was one size XL and a few size 4XL overalls left on the hanger. I had to ask for one that fit properly which wasn't a problem, but finding staff was. Found it a bit odd to be charged extra if we wanted to smash a larger item (especially the prices of this) During the smashing a staff member came in to give us a 'Medium' item. Due to the earplugs we didn't know whether he was giving this to us free of charge, so we confirmed and he told us he had it wrong and took the item away. Luckily we didn't get hurt during the experience, especially cause once we came out there was not a staff member to be seen. Great concept over all, but the place needs a little love and to be staffed adequately.
