World of Illusions Los Angeles
Museum with interactive 3D art and illusion rooms, including an upside-down house.
My daughter fainted as soon as she entered the door due to a cold, and Sergio gave us replacement tickets so that we could come back anytime. We went again last weekend and were lucky enough to meet him again, who gave us enthusiastic guidance and showed us how to take interesting photos. Sergio was super nice and an amazing guide! He made our whole experience more fun and memorable! These museums all have their own characteristics, but my favorite is illusions!
Our visit to the World of Illusions in Hollywood was such a fun and memorable experience! The exhibits were interactive and full of mind-bending visuals that made for some really creative and entertaining photos—we couldn’t stop snapping pictures. We got the combo ticket with the Giant House, which was a great value and made the day even more exciting. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making sure we got the best angles for our photos and enjoyed each part of the museum. Definitely a must-visit spot if you’re in LA and looking for something fun and photo-worthy!

Sergio was the best!! This was our first time there & he made it easy for us, very friendly, very professional. We bought tickets for the museum of illusions, the upside down house, & the giants house. Everywhere is amazing!! Best experience ever!! We are definitely coming back!!! ☺️ This place was out this world 😁😁😁
Museum of Illusions was a really fun time! We got the ticket that was everything but "Smash It". The staff is so friendly & helpful! I called ahead of time for parking info (garage in the back, $20 flat rate I believe) and general questions. They recommended getting there before 8pm and with 2.5 hours (we arrived 7:30pm) we did get everything! Note: once you're in, you're able to go however many rounds you want! Shoutout to photographer TIM who really had fun ideas & tips for capturing the illusions (and as a photographer knows other cool places to visit & happenings in the city!) Knew cool phone camera features even I wasn't aware of! MVP of the night, definitely made Museum of Illusions the rad experience we had! The main attraction (Museum of Illusions) is the best of the three. You get to appreciate the artwork & creativity of these artists (usually signed on the side.) Though they have an indicator for most of these where the camera should be for best presenting the illusion (tripod for rent $10), preview anyways and check different levels so you can see what you really want. Giant's House comes second(-best.) These props are SO COOL and for a good amount of things you can climb on them etc. It feels like a playground and the space is so colorful! I also believe it's easiest to take pictures here since it's concept is the most straight-forward -- the real challenge is being able to climb on top of things if you want to interact with the giant pieces that way (as we are short!) Upside-down House is interesting. You can definitely get good pictures, but the impressive part is really seeing the "house" itself (assembled & decorated well!) I recommend a larger view on your camera so you can properly have the "floor" in the picture as well for reference/context. Holding the illusion is definitely the challenging goal here, so maybe brainstorm ahead of time. Hand on surface is like a handstand. Jumps go a long way. Consider hair. You might end up more-so with a "zero gravity" look rather than upside-down; that's cool too. But yes, these were really neat to see the results of later, concept kind of like a roller coaster pic or photo booth where you get it in the end. (:
We had the best time at this most fun museum!! We are old (61 and 55) but it definitely brought out our inner children! Everyone could enjoy these 3 museums without a doubt! The girl who checked us in was beyond pleasant! I hope she gets a raise because she is an asset to the company for sure! She explained exactly what to do and set us up with a tripod to get the best pictures. Tim came along to explain the first several picture spots and then met up with us again while in the upside-down house. It wouldn't have been as good without him, he is absolutely AMAZING! We truly had some of the best fun ever! It's so unique, phenomenally talented and gives you fabulous lifetime memories!
