First, I am a novice at escape rooms, having done only one other that was created for kids. My husband and I took our three nephews (ages 6, 8 and 11) to the Theatre room. We had fun- but it was hard! Granted, this room is not designed for kids and they are younger than the recommended ages. That said, if you have kids up for the challenge, this was a great room. We did ok, but relied heavily on the graciously given clues. They even gave us extra time since no one had booked the room after us and we were close to being finished. The room was a tad creepy with marionet dolls but once they got over the initial eerie impression, the boys had a blast. This is our new tradition to do with them and we would definitely return to Escape the Room Dallas.
I had the best time with my friends escaping the Dig escape room. Jaylah was very helpful when giving us clues and hyping us up to ensure we had a great time! I will definitely be visiting again!
When we arrived to book the theater room that said it was fully available online, we were informed it was not available and we were told we would have to share the only remaining room with a couple we did not know. Luckily for us they were fine with sharing the room, and good thing too because it was extremely poorly organized. The very sweet manager also had the softest voice ever and was extremely difficult to understand. Two clues that were to be used at the end were spoken by her and all of us missed it except one. The room was very disjointed. We have done several escape rooms before and this one was almost impossible and not because it was naturally difficult but the clues didn’t flow. Thank goodness there were unlimited hints or we would have been stuck in the beginning. The hints were also annoying because they would be 2-3 steps behind us and something’s definitely didn’t even make sense. Lastly, the waiting room smelled like sewage. It has potential but the entire experience needs work.
