Each guest needs a separate waiver, but a parent/guardian can complete one for themselves and any minors. Waivers are valid for one day only and must be renewed for each subsequent visit.

What are the rules for guests visiting the club?

Guests are the responsibility of the member and must be escorted at all times. All guests, including observers, must complete an electronic waiver before going to the ranges.

What are the operating hours for the ranges?

The outdoor ranges are available from legal sunrise to sunset. The indoor air gun range is accessible 24/7, except when Team Shooting Stars holds practices or matches.

What is the club's policy on loaded weapons?

The Dallas Pistol Club observes a 'COLD RANGE' policy at all times. This means no loaded weapons are permitted except on a designated firing line, unless the weapon is being carried concealed.

What types of firearms and ammunition are permitted?

Handguns using approved cartridges are allowed on all ranges except the air gun range. .22 Rimfire rifles may be used on certain ranges, but centerfire rifles are prohibited. Shotguns and fully automatic weapons are only allowed during approved matches or supervised law enforcement training. Dangerous ammunition is not permitted; please consult the DPC Range Rules for a list of approved cartridges.

Came out here for some training with one of the best pistol practitioners. Great selection of targets in the bays and wasnt too busy on a Sunday evening. You do need to know a member or be a member to get in. This is not open to the general public like many other ranges. There is generally a wait list to get in as a member. So there is that. Worth it.

My experiences here have been during the shooting matches the club hosts every weekend. It is a private club but the matches are open to the public to enter on weekends. The matches are tons of fun and you shoot alot! I've competed in the action pistol and steel matches multiple times and would recommend both. The other shooters at the range have been great, friendly and inviting. Each time I've gone I've been able to work on my technique just from talking with more experienced shooters. Safety is not a joking matter at this range and it never should be. You are around loaded firearms and you are expected to follow the range rules or you will be dismissed from the range. Pay attention to your range officer when he is going over safety rules and you'll be fine.
