Really friendly club, black powder is so much fun. Areas a bit dodgy though and parking is a nightmare.
This club have potentially Islamophobic or xenophobic members on their committee. I was refused membership after fulfilling three months of training there. I was spoken to with great disrespect numerous times. It was very difficult to communicate to book times to go in and shoot. Training was delivered inadequately, it seems deliberately, so that I would fail one of the written safety exams to join. This was cited as one of the reasons for refusal to join as a full member. The other reason was that I apparently made concerning comments about inappropriate use of firearms. This is a lie. I asked questions in order to learn and never said anything untoward about my intention for using firearms. Not happy at all with this club. I would not recommend joining this club and I am considering writing a complaint to the local authority about their cliquey and unfriendly senior members.

Great club to belong to , and a great mix of people from the very knowledgeable to beginners, run by club members who give up their time to ensure the club is run properly and safely and within the law. If your interested in the sport of shooting, this is the club to join, you will meet people who are only too glad to help you progress. The club is a mixture of old and young , people who have been shooting for years and beginners, but all welcoming.
Ive been a member of this club for 4 years, really enjoyed it and made some good friends. Given the nature of the sport, discipline is good and so are the processes and people that sit behind it Would highly recommend it to anyone that has an interest in the sport
I initially enquired about this club to practice my target shooting skills after attending a air shooting club with a friend in Berkshire. After making arrangement to view the club and its procedures I decided to join. Ever since then everyone at the club has made me feel welcome, shared knowledge, given advice that has always benefited me in what I want to achieve. The banter with members and sharing common passion about this sport has made me want to stay at this club even though there are others available to join. Ted is also the reason I am still with the club, his outlook on the club and life in general is irreplacable. I have in no way felt that my racial background is an issue at this club.. ever.
