I’ve been playing Airsoft for around 2 ish years since I was 11 and I’ve gone to 2 fields high ground Airsoft in Houston and awaken arena and oh my god there is a huge difference… High ground Pros: Okay staff Quick and easy Really nice and big field Good rentals Cons: Really horrible management One really horrible worker The community is not the best The field caters to only new people Just all around some pros but not the best Awaken arena Pros: Best staff ever (super friendly, super supportive, and helpful) Great management Quick and easy also Really good rentals (gun is eh not better then hga) Great community Caters to all kinda of players (new, moderate, and experienced) The field changed every 2 weeks Has a speedQB/tournament field Cons: The field is just ply wood and there is no buildings Also side note: a worker there named James I believe is super nice and super helpful he helped me work on my gun despite me not paying and when my gun went down he let me borrow his without taking any pay Hands down best field I’ve ever been too please go here newbie or advanced
Came here to celebrate my son’s 14th bday. We had one of the party rooms. It was nice that it was air conditioned, as the arena is not. (But the fans throughout the arena made it pleasant.) we had 20 people in our party and there was plenty of room. The staff was courteous. The guns were easy to use and the gear they gave was a face mask and vest. If this is your first time with air soft guns, I recommend wearing jeans and maybe even padded gloves. Several people were wearing hoodies to protect themselves; we did not and most were fine. Sure it stings a little and leaves a mark, but neither were long lasting. They allow you to bring in your own food for parties. They do sell some drinks and snacks there. Overall it was a great time and we had kids ranging from 10-21 plus parents playing.

Best field in San Antonio, amazing main field everyone is amazing. If you ever have any questions about anything or need help they’re always there to help. All the teams are nice and welcoming for speed too.
My son has been playing airsoft for a while but this was the first time I had taken him to Awaken. I have never been interested in playing myself but after speaking with the staff and owner, and having all of my questions answered very thoroughly I finally gave in and played a couple of matches and had a blast! Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. I decided to buy my first gun (splurged on a gen3) and they took care of everything for me... calibration, battery charging, testing the works! Excellent service and a much more organized experience than what I have observed elsewhere. You guys made a new airsoft player that day!
Was overall a great field they listen to the community in what we should do next with their events and how to improve the field and great for kids and new players who haven’t started out yet. Their shop was amazing so many guns to see and accessories to make your gun look so cool both staff at the front were amazing and helpful so much they helped me get everything I needed. I Definitely will be coming back.
