Very friendly staff, beautiful show room/sale floor. Very fair pricing on ammo and range time. Tuesdays are half price range day for ladies.
I’ve been going to the Peoria shooters world for many years now, and they have changed their rules overtime, which I understand. I’m a high-level shooter and have hundreds of hours of training under a high level instructors even SWAT instructors and high-level international instructors. I recently started going back to the Peoria store when I have less time, three weeks ago. I went there and a young lady told me I was drawing from my holster, and I told her I wasn’t. I was just taking it out of my holster to load ready. I always return my gun to my holster, which is what I’ve been taught over the years. Today I was there and a nice young man came up to me and said I was drawing for my holster. As I said, I always put my gun in my holster. I did this to check the locations of my hits on my target. Or to reload. I’m doing drills, I would take my shot then re-holster. Check my locations of my shots, pull my weapon out of my holster to low Ready position, an employee came up to me and said I can’t do that. I asked him what can’t I do ? He said I’m drawing from my holster. After a long debate, I emptied the mag that was in my weapon, packed up and left. It seems like the person making the rules doesn’t know how to define drawing from a holster or simply removing your gun and getting ready to shoot. I’m not going back to that place, too many rules too many changing of rules and it gets worse every time you go. Back to Avery I go.

All the staff were very helpful in making me comfortable since I was shooting my gun for the first time. The answered all my questions. I even signed up for the annual membership. I hope to meet other folks to shoot with. I also am planning on taking my ccw classes there. I’ll be back tomorrow!
Nice, friendly, and customer-oriented staff. Very helpful guys at the store who work hard to make your time worthwhile. The atmosphere is relaxed but professional, and a lot of attention is paid to safety. You can come anytime to try a handgun and/or rifle, or practice shooting with your own gun. The rental guns seem to be very well maintained. I shot 150 pistol rounds and 100 rifle rounds, and not once did a gun get stuck. They are also very tourist-friendly. If you come from abroad and want to try out some guns, don’t hesitate—just go there, they’ll do their very best. You can fill out the waiver digitally, then choose your gun from the store rentals. They will demonstrate the weapon, give you another safety instruction, and you’re good to go. It didn’t take more than 30 minutes to get ready. Trained shooters will need even less time 😉
The store seems to have purged most of its stock to focus on online sales and their shooting range. Their prices are on the higher end, and The staff don't seem to be proactive with their customers either. The shooting range seems well maintained, but that's really the only worthwhile part of the store.
