I JUST completed my NYC conceal carry course at Seneca Sporting Range. I wasnt expecting it to be as fun and informative as it was. Alex was a fantastic instructor that took his time teaching and answering questions. John the owner is a character. You wont meet many people like him anymore. He's a throwback to my childhood. He's great and has a wealth of knowledge to offer anyone smart enough to pick his brain. The range has places to relax and the alleys are spacious, well lit and ventilated. The annual fee is super reasonable.

If you’re looking to get your concealed carry, resident, business, or any other firearm-related license in New York City, this is your one-stop shop. I’m currently working with John to upgrade my license from resident and he’s been extremely knowledgeable and straightforward throughout the process. He gives you exactly the information you need — no fluff, just clear and direct guidance. Different License types do vary. (For more info Ask John) My current upgrade is $500 for paper work (all documents included) NYPD fees and fingerprint ($300+) Firearm class is $500
Did an 8hr annual firearm course.. didnt get a certificate at the end of the class.. was told it would be mailed out in an envelope WE filled out. Called them after a week, the owner was rude as hell and quickly said he mailed it out at 9am in the morning.. LIES, another week goes by and yes it was me that contacted department of justice services. They called me telling me it’ll be ready for me to pick it up.. no no no mail it out, in the envelope I filled out.. All of a sudden I get an alert by usps it’s in the mail, the envelope I filled out.. A woman tried to call me and make excuses for poor management. Who sent me another certificate because who knows maybe they lie to each other. Don’t bother with this range. **certificates are to be handed to the person at the completion of a course**
Seneca Sporting Range is awesome and an all-around great introduction to the world of firearms, safety, and obtaining your license. Owner/ operator John is great, many years in the business, and will tell you everything you need to obtain the license as well as thoroughly explain the process. Training instructors are all extremely experienced and will give education and information on all questions and scenarios with process, patience and real-world experience, I had Sal, and he is extremely knowledgeable and insightful on many questions and scenarios . Facility is clean and well maintained, if your interested in obtaining your license and want a solid team of educators in this process, come here it'll be a great introduction to firearms as well obtaining your license, trust me you won't be disappointed.
