Had a great experience at the Newmilns gun range. Douglas was a great teacher, friendly and professional with great stories.
Went with my son and a great time was had, very nice venue in the grounds of drumlanrig castle. The automatic was a lot of fun and Stuart was great at explaining everything. Careful on the very final part of the drive up if you're taking your car - it gets proper off road for one/two hundred yards or so.

We visited the Scottish Assault Courses last weekend and had a fantastic experience! We travelled from Edinburgh, and it was absolutely worth the journey. The location is stunning, surrounded by nature, it’s the perfect setting for an outdoor adventure. The course itself was fun, challenging, and really well thought out. Our instructor was incredibly friendly, positive, and supportive, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. It’s suitable for various fitness levels, and we felt comfortable and encouraged throughout. After the course, we visited a nearby castle and had lunch there. Although this part wasn’t organised by the Scottish Assault Courses, it was a lovely way to end the day. I’d highly recommend anyone doing the course to visit the castle afterwards, it’s a great place to relax and enjoy some good food after the workout. Overall, it was an active, memorable day out in a beautiful setting. Highly recommend the experience!
Got an Itison voucher as present for the airsoft shooting range. Went with my son an we had an amazing time. The automatics are great fun. Stuart is a great instructor and takes time to explain everything. 5*
A very cold and dank gun range. Got to shoot three air soft weapons with about twenty rounds each. We probably had maximum then minutes each shitting at targets. Totally rubbish and even on a voucher deal (£25 for two people “1 hour experience” ) was grossly over priced. Instructor was very professional and only reason I’m giving one star.
