Great day out shooting clay pigeon, rifles and archery eas superb
Stayed in the Mallard Lodge for 4 nights over the end of October. Initially had a small issue when first arriving, but Jay was very very hospitable, letting us into her house for tea and beers whilst the lodge was cleaned (the booking company had not communicated our stay with Jay at all, so it was not ready for us) as well as meeting her lovely pets! We were only supposed to be staying for 3 nights but due to the issue, Jay gave an extra night to us which was very kind. The lodge itself was very clean and tidy, the bed is extremely comfortable and quite large too, with a closet to store clothes in. The bathroom was perfect for us, a large, clean shower and W/C facilities. The kitchen and main living space was also very nice for what we wanted. The hot tub was also great, always up to temperature and massive too! The only tiny issue I'd mention is the hot water supply not lasting too long, if you're staying as two people who will both want a shower in an evening as well as washing up in the kitchen before/afterwards I'd advise trying to save some water, otherwise it will run out. Overall the review stays at 5 stars, as we had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay in the lodge. I'd love to return and take part in some of the onsite activities but we ran out of time this visit unfortunately!

Great day out doing clay pigeon shooting. My partner was nervous having never shot before but the relaxed yet professional atmosphere and coaching was first class. Seriously, give it a go.
Booked clay pigeon shooting for 4 people had we had a great time. Jay is a brilliant instructor, beautiful landscape and set up they have. Will definitely be back.
I only did the Air Rifle Range which has a cool little range. Very friendly staff who were informative and kept a good eye on me during my visit. Booking a slot was incredibly easy and the prices are very reasonable. Would love to visit again to try the other activities.
