I had an outstanding experience at Texas Gun Experience, and I want to give a special shout-out to Eric Gustafson for going above and beyond during my recent optic purchase and setup.
I came in for help selecting an optic for my AR platform and ended up choosing the Primary Arms SLx 3x MicroPrism. Eric not only walked me through the technical details—ballistics, reticle design, eye relief, mounting height options, and the real-world differences between red dots, magnifiers, and microprisms—but also took the time to understand my specific use case before recommending anything.

Clean and professional facility. Offering a wide range of reasonably priced firearms and a few fancy options. In-house instructors like Kevin McGinnes are absolutely great. Would recommend getting your LTC class here as well as finding time to hit the range!
Absolutely check out the gun smithing area. Those guys know what they're doing and they happily take walkins. Kind enough to help me out with my new compensator!

Me and my girlfriend were on vacation in Texas from the Netherlands. I wanted to give my girlfriend the ultimate Texas experience. Shooting some guns is definitely part of it :). And I gotta say…..There is no better place to do it than at the Texas Gun Experience in Grapevine, Texas The establishment is very accessible and it’s easy to park. The people working there are professional and very safety oriented, kind, helpful and have a good sense of humor. We’ll be back next year for sure. 🇺🇸 🇳🇱
We had an absolutely awesome time at Texas Gun Experience! Everything was great, facility is big and bright, staff at the front was very welcoming upon entering. The team members at the range check in were very pleasant and friendly. I did the WWII Heavy Gunner package and it was an absolute blast! I’d like to give a special shout out to our Range Officer Junior who was excellent, he made everything super easy and safe, he was very knowledgeable and made us feel extremely welcome. To all the staff we encountered throughout our experience a big thank you ! You folks are awesome! To anyone looking to shoot in the area , don’t hesitate to give this place a try. We had an amazing experience! Alex was fantastic with both me and my son — we’d never shot handguns before since they’re not legal in the UK, and he was incredibly patient, explaining each firearm clearly before we started. All the staff were friendly and professional, and a special shoutout to Jason, who was super enthusiastic and clearly passionate about what he does. It’s obvious everyone there loves their job and the environment they work in. This was definitely one of the highlights of our holiday — we made some great memories. And that Barrett .50 cal… what an absolute beast to shoot! Well done, y’all
