Disregard any old reviews about this range. The people who run it are friendly and their rules are reasonable. It's a very well kept range that they run in a safe, yet very friendly manner. If you want to use their 200 yard rifle range, you'll have to prove your marksmanship first, by putting 3 shots into a 2" diamond at 100 yards. I think that's well within reason and easy enough, if you and your rifle are capable. That's all they want to see first. Their range fees are comparable to other ranges I've been to and their extra targets (you get 1 with the range fee) are only $1 each. I'll definitely be back often, as I only live about 12 miles away. If you're looking for an outdoor pistol/rifle range in the Mesquite/Sunnyvale area, this is your place.

This place deserves all 5 stars. Unfortunately, some of the reviews remain from when they were under different ownership. The staff is very friendly and go out of their way to be helpful. The range itself is in good condition, and they have some freebies - sand bags are loaned at no charge, your first target is free. They are one of the few places with 200 yards for rifles. They have nets to prevent an adjacent shooter's casings from hitting you on the 50 yard rifle range. The range rules are completely reasonable and you appreciate them when walking down range to change out your target. $7 for a 1 year range card, and $20 per day of use (as of this writing) is completely reasonable. It's all outdoors, so yes, it's hot in the summer in Texas. But they do have an awning for shade. The only thing that would make it better, would be if the pistol range had retractable target mounts so you don't have to wait for a cease fire to pull it in and change it out. ...but yeah, I'm sure that would raise the price if they add them.

If you’re a person that prefer an outdoor shooting range, this is the right spot for you. Rules are exist, but definitely less restrictions than the indoor range.

I honestly could have not asked for a better experience. We called ahead and then proceeded to bring 11 guys out to shoot. Not only were they incredibly friendly and accommodating, they were super professional and excited to have us. It very well could have frustrated other ranges to have that many guys at once, but it felt quite the contrary. We felt very safe the whole time but also didn’t feel like we had anyone breathing down our neck. The perfect range management and prefect experience. On top of that, it was an incredible value. Would highly recommend these guys! They even happily took our group pic at the end. Thanks a ton and best of luck to this business.
