Honestly, it's an amazing sport to try out. Wanted to try shooting in an academy from a longer time now, however was glad to make it today. Cost as of today Rs. 500 (20 pallets) and duration depends on individual from 30 min to 1 hours. Highlights: 1. Academy is very well maintained. 2. Highly professional and ethical coaches/guides. 3. Trying for the first time, however the instructions/guidance given by mentor (Varalakshmi); were described briefly theoretically and technically. 4. They have courses for beginners/intermediates/professionals. Had an amazing experience though.
I wanted to enroll for foundation course. To check the facility available, I opted for an experience session. Got into such an arena for the first time in my life. It was absolutely stunning. Overall, it was a great experience. Session was on 10m Air Rifle in both sitting and standing position (10 pellets each). Ms.Varalakshmi was very kind and supportive. Her guidance was valuable, given my zero knowledge on shooting. I'm now looking to continue with the foundation course.
Probably the best place I have ever been for shooting. Learnt a lot. Tried with 20 pellets. 10 sitting and 10 standing. Was given a brief how to hold the rifle, how to stand, where to aim, how to load. National level shooters who are there training, will adjust rifle scope after few shots. Alone or with a group, this is the best place I recommend.
