Great place to go and shoot a few rounds. Went there and we were also taught how the sport works, tips on how to improve our shots and some general good shooting habits. Would highly recommend someone to go here
I have been associated with the Art of Shooting - Shooting Academy since May 2024. This review is based on my experience over the past 15 months. Most reviews of a shooting range would be from FUN SHOOTERS, there are individuals who come to shoot for an hour; such reviews tend to focus only on their experience over the hour or two that was spent on the range during a particular day. I would like to focus on a few aspects of the range / academy which are important to nurture professional level shooters. Infrastructure: The range has been purpose built ground up to be a shooting range. This is very different from most shooting ranges which tend to be retrofitted into existing commercial spaces. This has resulted in an air conditioned space hosting 15 shooting lanes (10 Manual + 5 Electronic), a space for the shooters to rest during practise, rest rooms, a kitchenette, an office room & ample parking. The lighting provided is good and it is flicker free. There is a dedicated space to store weapons as well as the shooting jackets of all the shooters. it is important to note that the Electronic targets are from the brand SIUS AG, which is an ISSF approved brand and is used in Olympic events. Aspiring shooters can thus be trained on such high precision devices and can thus get very accurate scores. Operations: The shooting academy is run by Mr. Shekar, while the coaching is provided by Mr. Ramachandran. Both these individuals have a good background of the shooting sport and it's nuances in India. Mr. Ramachandran has produced multiple medal winners in shooting. An important aspect of Mr. Ramachandran is his ability to perform routine maintenance of all the equipment that is critical for shooting (Weapons, Targets, Pulley System), this ensures that all points in time then equipment is fully functional. I have observed that he can restore poorly maintained weapons back to functioning equipment, this is important considering the fact that most of these equipment are imported and have limited support here in India. Coaching: The aim of the academy is never to achieve the Minimum Qualifying Score (MQS) but to always achieve a podium finish. The medals speak for themselves. Mr. Ramachandran is knowledgeable about matters related to Equipment Control, this allows the shooter to focus on the shooting alone while being secure in the knowledge that all the administrative activities are taken care of during a competition. Unlike other shooting ranges, there is no time limit for a shooter to practise here. If the shooter is ready, they can spend the entire day practising. In conclusion, If you are in North Bangalore and are looking for a shooting range; do visit the academy. If you intend to enroll someone for shooting, do use the parameters above as you finalize on the shooting academy.

Art of Shooting is undoubtedly one of the finest academies for anyone aspiring to learn and excel in shooting. The management and coaching staff go above and beyond to ensure every student gets personalized attention. The dedication and effort put into nurturing and developing each student is truly commendable. They not only teach the technical aspects of shooting but also instill confidence, focus, and discipline—qualities essential for both sports and life. A special mention goes to Ram Sir, Sekhar Sir, and Mini Ma’am, whose expertise and approachable nature create a supportive atmosphere where learners feel motivated to push their boundaries and continuously improve. For anyone serious about learning shooting in the right way, this academy is a perfect choice.
If you want to learn shooting or try your hand on it, I would like to recommend Art of Shooting. Situated very close to the super busy Hebbal flyover, the place is still away from the maddening crowd. Good friendly coaches, clean facility, neat equipment and sporty ambience. Ample parking available. You can spend your weekend here and take away some good memories.
(Weekend Rifle Trials ) : Went to try some shooting trials. The place is a professional practice ground for many zonal ,state , national and international level enthusiasts. We went on Sunday evening to trial a 3 round of 30 shoots at 350/- inr. The Coach seems to be away for few days at the time we visited but a junior zonal level guy taught us all the basics like the posture , setting up the pellets and handing the barrel on the air rifle . He showed different guns , point calculation technique. I scored a 139 out of 300 points on my first trial . Yeah it’s a good place to learn if anyone want to level up rifle shooting experience . The proximity of this place is ok . All set ups inside the premises look professional. ✌️ peace out .
