I took my basic handgun class here with Dejon and Brandon, and it was a great experience. Dejon made the class very interactive and ensured everyone felt safe and included. Both instructors were supportive and professional. I felt very confident after completing the course. Highly recommend!
I’ve been an Avigan owner for many many years. I’m also a veteran and And I can’t tell you how many Gun shops I visited and purchased things from over the last two decades. This is by far the worst gun shop I’ve ever been to and I’ve been some pretty bad ones. I put a rifle on layaway two weeks ago and I had an emergency come up that I can’t finish paying on it so I called them today, November 10, 2025. To let them know that they can put it back in the stock and I know that there’s a 25% restocking fee, which is usually based on 25% of what you put down. But that’s not how this gun shop operates the representative the first answer the phone after informing him of this says OK give me a minute. Let me go back and look into it as if there’s anything to look into you. Go back get the gun. Confirm that there was a deposit made and you go put it back in stock. He goes and gets a manager instead who gets on the phone and says oh well it’s 25% of what the gun is worth which is bullshit because I have been buying guns for years and I have never heard of such a thing. Main Street Guns in Lilburn doesn’t even charge you a restocking fee and on top of that, they gave me the same amount in store credit John’s Creek gun range is a joke. Don’t put anything on layaway because if you don’t pay it off they will take all the money you put down because they based it on the value of the gun which again is robbery. If you want great deals, go to Main Street Guns in Lilburn. They have an awesome staff there and if you have to cancel your layaway, they give it to you in Store credit. I will never do business with John’s Creek gun shop again, horrible ethics, and piss poor excuses

Took the Level 1 class and loved it! Dejon and Remington are fantastic, experienced instructors who made the class feel at ease. They're serious about safety, but threw in some jokes too—just make sure you've had your coffee so you don't miss anything. Already looking forward to my next class!
My husband and I did the 3-hour long Basic Hand Gun Course. It’s not cheap but it was worth every penny! I had zero experience with guns and I learned a LOT. There wasn’t a boring minute or unnecessary detail. We went through the basics thoroughly then we also had plenty of time in the range to practice. Scott and Dejon were helping everybody so much, they were courteous and funny—they really know what they are doing. I highly recommend this course. I want to react to some reviews where people give 1* who weren’t let in the range with no previous gun handling experience. Guns are not toys—while you can have fun with them, you have to take them VERY seriously otherwise accidents can happen in an instant. Nobody can show you in two minutes how to operate a gun properly. You NEED a training from a professional once in your life and then you are good to go and practice on your own as much as you want.
One of my favorite ranges to visit throughout the year. It’s great for groups. But also accommodating for solo guests. Tuesday’s are usually free ammo day for ladies. You just pay for the rental. Big range and staff is super helpful! #ashsaidit
