I ordered my firearm from guns.com and chose this FFL as the closest option. I received an email notification that my firearm had been delivered, so I decided to go pick it up. At the time, I only had an interim state driver’s license, which was also Real ID compliant. Interim ID is a valid ID but serves as a placeholder until my permanent ID arrives. I had previously purchased a firearm from another gun shop, and they accepted my interim ID without any questions. However, when I arrived at this FFL, they immediately turned me away, stating that it was their policy not to accept interim IDs for background checks. I returned home to retrieve the card from the DMV that confirmed the validity of my interim ID. I returned to the gun shop and presented the card to the employee, but he refused to read it. I requested a copy of the policy, but they refused to provide any written documentation. I asked to speak with the owner, but they declined, stating that he would simply repeat the same policy. The employee became increasingly agitated. He then asked another employee to assist me, but they were equally unhelpful. I am convinced that they had never encountered an interim ID before and were unwilling to deal with me. As I questioned them further, they continued to fabricate information, which sounded to be made up because they appeared to be caught off guard. They just seemed to be pretty lazy about the whole situation. The background check fee is $100. I would not recommend giving this place your business. Even as a combat veteran, my overall customer experience was extremely poor. Maybe because I am Hispanic and my friend is black, I’m not sure. Chris was cool though. I highly recommend giving The Gun Range your business. They treated me and my friend with respect and were pretty cool to talk to.
Bought and sold a reasonably priced Taurus pistol here. Very helpful to me, a beginner. Friendly, serious and no B. S.

horrible service and was profiled off the bat, they assumed my purchased was going to be for someone else due to “no experience.” I am licensed and have a firearm already owned. However, i was given a quiz when I first walked in by James. No background check was ran, just a quiz was given. I told them I had the desire of firing at a range to gain more of the experience. but was still denying and embarrassed because of a quiz. mind you this academy has a range, but can’t even be used to fire the firearm i wanted. They stated that this was good for beginners but made me feel like complete crap for “no experience” I would never recommend any one to go here! Safe to say, I did find my firearm that I wanted and is to be delivered soon to a different location!!! This experience was completely humiliating for someone beginning and wanting to learn to use a firearm, which is CRAZY BECAUSE THIS IS A BEGINNER TRAINING ACADEMY 😂😂😂😂😂 I recommend SONS OF GUNS UP THE NORTHEAST, BETTER SERVICE WHERE THEY TREAT YOU LIKE A NORMAL PERSON WITHOUT ASSUMPTIONS!
This is hands down the best firearm store and shooting range in the Philadelphia area. The owner is welcoming and personable, and you can tell right away that they go out of their way to make sure every customer feels accommodated. The shop carries an excellent selection of both high-quality used firearms and top name-brand options. After just one visit, I am already convinced to join— the membership is affordable and offers great value amenities. The range itself is modern, well-maintained, and equipped with everything you need for target practice at varying distances. The range officer was also very nice and offered support and advice where needed. An inclusive environment for those worried about racism. 10/10 -Luke
Honestly very disappointing experience. If I could give this a 0 star I would. The first time I went here the experience was great, a white Lady and black male there would joke around with us and what not. But apparently today when I came for a range, all respectful and polite, there was a white male there already talking to us in a rude manner shading his head as we enter. When I asked him for lane, he said the range was closed, but I can clearly see others at the range while 3 lanes were empty on there cctv monitor. Now I don’t know if it’s because of my race or what, but I’ve seen similar reviews of them being racist to other customers. Honestly a very big let down. Rather just stick with “Firing Line” where they treat everyone with respect and like humans.
