Rating: ★★★½ (3.5/5) This was our second stay at Lake Buena Vista Resort and Spa, and sadly, it was a major letdown compared to our first visit. We came in with high expectations based on a great prior experience, but this trip left us frustrated and disappointed. Right from the start, the check-in process was chaotic, extremely delayed, and poorly managed, with almost no communication or updates. When we mentioned that we’d be leaving a review reflecting the poor experience, a manager shockingly threatened to cancel our reservation — an unacceptable response that only made the situation worse. In full transparency, through our own frustration, we may not have been as professional or composed as we should have been. That said, we were paying guests expecting a minimum level of respect and customer service — and we didn’t receive it from most of the front desk team. The resort itself also feels worn down and in need of serious updates. From outdated furniture to tired-looking common areas, it’s clear that maintenance has been neglected. Even basic services come with extra charges — like towels and trash pickup — and when we asked for clean towels, a manager told us to wash them ourselves using the in-room washer, which felt unprofessional and dismissive. The only saving grace was senior management, who eventually stepped in, heard us out, and took our concerns seriously. Their professionalism and willingness to listen were appreciated and helped salvage an otherwise difficult experience. Overall, the resort still has potential, but without serious improvements in staff training, guest service, and property maintenance, it’s hard to recommend. What was once a solid choice now feels like it’s slipping — and we hope they take feedback to heart before it’s too late.

The rooms are dated furniture in the common spaces but overall the suite was a great size. The bathrooms and full kitchen were a very nice size. Separate tub and shower in the master, toilet has a door... There's a store on property. It's very family oriented property. Pool/water area is nice with a splash pad kinda thing. The pool view room was great so I could see the family from my balcony. I'd definitely stay here again and recommend it to other families.

The hotel it has the potential of being a beautiful place. However, when we arrived our showers and sheets were dirty. The only thing we enjoyed was the pool with the ship in it. We were informed me had to pay extra if we needed extra towels in the room ( I’ve never heard that before). They could use more Dollies knowing they have a lot of guest that are going to be using them & they could use a bigger parking lot, at night there are no spots left over.

The staff is friendly and the blonde lady that works the breakfast buffet is super sweet. The buffet was good. The pool and the splash and play area are clean and well-kept. There are only 4 ice machines in 2 locations and half the time they were down. The rooms are spacious and fairly comfortable. The AC works well. The furniture is kind of rundown/dinged up, and the walls are in need of a paint job and a good cleaning. Housekeepers come every day to refresh towels and make beds unless you put the sign out not to. The bed was comfortable, which is always my most important box to check. Overall, it was pretty quiet at night, so peaceful nights. Also, it is very close to the Disney Parks, so if that's what you're in town for, it's location is great.

The room was very big and super nice.. Myself and 3 other couples with kids, stayed in the penthouse for 3 days. The place itself was wonderful! Plenty of space and some for everyone. But we didn't have enough towels. We didn't have any soap for the shower or to wash our hands. There was one tiny trash can for the whole apartment! The restaurants downstairs were gross. We tried the Irish place, the food at the pool, and the sushi and they were really cheap tasting and gross. The arcade had a lot of broken games and no one was there to help. The pool was cool but definitely busy and meant for really young kids. My 12 and 17 year old were bored. Overall, it was okay and did the job.
