Umm… I was pretty disappointed with this experience overall. We did the Chinese themed room. I’ve done a lot of escape rooms all over the US and this was honestly pretty bad. There wasn’t a through line for puzzles and ultimately I didn’t know why were meant to do the things the game masters designed. We made it out, although I think our game guide pushed us through the last few clues. We won’t be back. A waste of $100.
Unique theme, exceptional help, will come back again in the future. Great for team development. Better than what we all anticipated, highly recommend for a group of friends and family entertainment! Thank you.

Not the best escape room experience. Having tried all three and comparing it to others in a similar price range, this place seems beat. There are broken malfunctioning clues and wires etc. it’s just not fun when you’re trying to figure out whether it’s you who’s not getting the clue or something is broken… also when I went, there was a Caucasian male in his early thirties with blonde hair (don’t remember his name) who was just an absolute mood killer. I’ve never seen a key master just be so rude, dry, and annoyed at just the simple presence of people being there… like do you want to get paid or what? What a weirdo…. and this place just isn’t worth the money for what it is now. It used to be better when the staff were friendlier. Take your money elsewhere and go have an actual escape room experience.
Review: A Disappointing and Discriminatory Experience at Komnata Quest Brooklyn My friends and I were incredibly excited to visit Komnata Quest in Brooklyn after browsing their website and seeing multiple open time slots available for their escape rooms. Although we hadn’t made a reservation, the availability listed made it seem like walk-ins wouldn’t be an issue. Confident in what we saw online—and having already paid in advance—we headed over. What we experienced upon arrival was nothing short of disheartening. We were greeted by a young Caucasian woman at the front desk who immediately gave off an unfriendly, unwelcoming energy. Her demeanor was cold, and she frowned the moment we walked in—as if we were a burden rather than paying customers. When we inquired about the rooms, she abruptly told us there were no more openings, despite the website still showing clear availability in real time. It quickly became obvious that we were being lied to. Despite already having paid for our spots beforehand, we were denied the experience and were instead refunded on the spot. No apology. No explanation. Just dismissed. The whole encounter left us feeling not only disappointed and upset—but also discriminated against. It was painfully clear we were not treated the same way others might have been, and that realization deeply hurt. Customer service is about more than just handling transactions—it’s about treating people with respect and dignity. Unfortunately, that was completely absent during our visit to Komnata Quest. We won’t be returning, and I sincerely hope this business re-evaluates how it treats its patrons, especially those who come in with genuine excitement and expectations for a good time.
I went last night with a friend and we had so much fun! I can’t remember the game master’s name but he was helpful without telling us the answers directly. We played city of ashes and it was scary and fun, we were screaming and laughing and having the best time. We went over our time but no one was after us so he let us play it out. 10/10 will be back!
