FAO Schwarz is so much more than a gift shop. It’s a whole experience! From classic toys to fun new brands, there’s something for everyone, no matter your age. I especially loved the interactive activities around the store, like the Jellycat Diner, such a cute and playful setup! It’s the perfect place to explore, play, and pick out something special. A must-visit if you’re in NYC or looking for a fun day out with kids (or your inner child)!
Wow! If you have kids - this is a MUST see and stop by! Be prepared to spend some money. There’s NO WAY you can get out of there without spending money but they make it to where you gladly hand over your dollars 😅 They have so many employees sampling, driving, operating or using products/toys right there in the toy store. It’s like a movie. Like the toy store on Jingle Jangle. There’s a makeup area to get a makeover or build your own kit, a magic area with someone doing magic tricks, Jelly Cat Diner (Need reservations ahead of time!!!) a build your own Barbie, personalize a bunny or stuffy with your name embroidered, a nursery with newborns you can name and make your own then take home, a Disney area, a dress up/make believe wonderland area, make your own Funko Pop, and so much more! This toy store has it all! You’ll never need to go anywhere else if this is close by where you live. We were just visiting and I had to buy a whole 2nd checked luggage bag just to tote all the toys and things I bought here for my kids for vacation gifts and Easter basket gifts. The real life toy would’ve even let me video him and sent a “hello” to my kids back home! I will definitely be bringing my girls here when we come back with them. They’ll never want to leave 😅

FAO Schwarz at Rockefeller Center is more than just a toy store, it's a nostalgic journey that delights visitors of all ages. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted by a vibrant atmosphere filled with iconic toy soldiers, interactive exhibits, and a vast selection of toys that spark joy and imagination. One of the standout features is the legendary floor piano, reminiscent of the classic scene from the movie Big. Whether you're a child or simply young at heart, dancing on those keys is an unforgettable experience. The store also boasts themed sections, including Barbie, LEGO, and a delightful candy area, ensuring there's something for everyone. The staff enhances the experience with live demonstrations and engaging interactions, making each visit unique. However, it's worth noting that during peak times, especially the holiday season, the store can become quite crowded, which might require some patience. Prices can be on the higher side, but the quality and exclusivity of many items justify the cost. For those looking for a memorable gift or a special keepsake, FAO Schwarz delivers. In summary, FAO Schwarz offers a whimsical escape into a world of play and wonder. Whether you're shopping for a child or reliving cherished memories, it's a must-visit destination in New York City.
This is still an awesome store. Lots of great toys and gifts. It was a busy weekend but we still managed through the crowd for a few plushies and some candy 🍬 🐻 If you're traveling through the area, this is a great stop for the coolest toy store around!
Title: A Magical Wonderland of Toys: FAO Schwarz Shines Bright! Review: FAO Schwarz is not just a toy store; it's a world of wonder, nostalgia, and sheer joy! Located at Rockefeller Center, this iconic destination remains as enchanting as ever and has truly outdone itself. The new store is a sprawling delight, with two expansive floors and a mezzanine filled to the brim with every kind of toy imaginable. From timeless classics to the latest trends, there's something for everyone to marvel at. Even in January, the magic of the holiday season lingers here—they still had an impressive selection of Christmas toys! The staff deserves a standing ovation for their friendliness and enthusiasm. They were happy to chat, share recommendations, and even pose for pictures, adding a personal touch to the experience. Of course, the legendary giant piano is still center stage, inviting visitors to channel their inner child or musician! Stepping onto those keys is pure joy that never gets old. While I was overwhelmed by the incredible selection and didn't make a purchase this time, it's safe to say I'll be back soon. FAO Schwarz is an absolute must-visit whether you want to rediscover your childhood or create magical memories with loved ones. Prepare to be dazzled!
