It was fun. I was so scared for the "live" component that I didn't even want to move!! But looking back now I shouldn't have been so scared, I just didn't know what to expect. I wish we would have succeeded in escaping but we failed. My only comment about this for others to be aware of is this...we tried about 7 different times during our experience to get a hint. We were told ahead of time that the employee may be busy so if we didn't get a response to try again. We tried about every 2 minutes for our last 15-ish minutes in the room. I feel like if there's aren't enough employees to monitor for this there should be another way so that the request can be made. Maybe a doorbell near the entrance door you would have to go back and press and a chime would be heard out in the office/lobby. I feel like if we would have gotten our hint when we first requested with 15 minutes left we may have had even more fun and definitely more success than we had.
This is the first time me and my friends have done a live escape room (The Aviary). We've done about a dozen regular escape rooms. First off, when we got there at our reserved time, we had to wait an additional 15-20 minutes to begin. Once we began, we were separated. Two went into a pitch dark room, while the other one went into the computer room and we were supposed to work together via walkie talkies, to make it to the next part of the game. Here's where things got annoying. We asked for clues over and over, and we were ignored. We spent the entire time in this pitch dark room, despite having been told we can ask for unlimited hints. You could say that was our fault for having to ask for clues? Having read other reviews, it appears other teams had the same issue (ignored when asked for clues). Why hasn't this been fixed? "You're on the right track" isn't a clue. There was a part of the game where we had to insert several ping pong balls down into a hole, which would then make it to the person in the computer room. However, something happened and a couple balls didn't make it. We never made it out of the dark room, never met the live actors, and were never reunited as a team. Overall this was disappointing.

Went for some birthday fun, let me tell you..it’s a blast. I had concerns going in that was gonna be really scary like a haunted house, but it wasn’t anything like that, sure, it’s very creepy and we even had kids with us and they had a blast! I would definitely rate this place 10 stars if I could. The lady that runs it and introduces you to everything is awesome. We all can’t wait to go back and do the second room. The only negative I would give this place is that they show several T-shirts for sale that look amazing but when you leave and try to buy one, they only have extra small or XXXL. I know from a marketing standpoint that if you wanna make money, you’re gonna make it in your apparel just saying. We will be back!
Shout out to our game master Jillian and our actor Alex. Both are really professional people who clearly love what they do. Jillian set the scene well and made the rules engaging and ran a good experience. Alex was a pro and was able to effortlessly respond to anything we did or talked with her about in character. The room is at its best is when you feel like you’re in a scene from a movie with the actor figuring out how to escape. It can definitely be tense at sometimes which makes the experience thrilling, and little to no jump scares make it safer for younger players to enjoy. Would highly recommend for anyone!
Incredible experience. We had tickets purchased in advance. When we arrived at our appointed time the door was locked and so we called but no one answered. Shortly after we called, they unlocked the door and shared they keep it locked for safety reasons. We did The Basement experience. It was spooky but not horrifying. Their rooms and actors were so real and our host was the kindest. They made it really fun and had has scared silly before we even started. Wonderful experience and highly recommend.
